Pros: Suspense, Mystery, and easy to read.
Cons: the ending left me hanging.
The Bottom Line: This is a great story and has given me a new desire to read Dean Koontz books.
Review: I am writing about the first Dean Koontz book I ever read. I had heard lots of good things
about Dean Koontz as a writer but I had never read any of his work. When the offer came to do a write off about his work I felt it was the best chance to... |

Pros: Where do I begin.
Cons: Sometimes, the truth is more frightening than fiction.
Review: Obsession
I wanted to find a life. What causes a person to become obsessed? We've all experienced, to a certain degree, the inability to get that certain person, movie, place or song out of your mind. Admit it, even you're no... |

Pros: Beautifully told story with compelling plot, and highly enjoyable characters (Spencer Grant Rules!)
Cons: Slow in places, strange ending that leave something to be desired (A Sequel, anyone?)
The Bottom Line: My recommendation for this book is simply...
Go get the bloody book already!!!
Review: This book is excellent on so many levels. First, the story starts off with a strange character whom most readers write off as just another hapless chap but as the story unfolds, we see that Spencer is more than meets the eye in more ways than one....

Pros: Best of Koontz's books
Cons: Hardcover is heavy to lug around
The Bottom Line: Read it. You'll enjoy it
Review: I have read most all of Dean Koontz's books, and this one is different. There is no mystical, supernatural enemy here. In this book, the enemies are real people: the government and a serial killer.
This is a good book for fans of government... |

Pros: Plausible psychological terror will lead to temporary paranoia.
Cons: Plausible psychological terror will lead to temporary paranoia.
The Bottom Line: Dark Rivers of the Heart is an action-packed thriller comparable to Silence of the Lambs.
Review: Dark Rivers of the Heart is possibly mislabeled. This masterpiece by Dean Koontz could just as easily be called an Action-Thriller novel.
High speed chases, helicopter pursuit with automatic weapons, a serial killer in a high government... |

Pros: Well developed characters, twists and turns around every turn, maximum suspense!!
Cons: None
The Bottom Line: This is one of Koontz's best. It leaves you breathless, and wanting more. It makes you think about the people you know, and the world around you.
Review: In this thought provoking novel by Dean Koontz, Spencer Grant, a man with a past that he fails to remember is one night drawn to a bar looking for a woman that he knows nothing about. He is soon drawn into the scheme of a secret government agency that...

Pros: a tale to grab you making you anxious to know where it will next lead
Cons: A little slow to start and sometimes vividly graphic maybe too gruesome for some
Review: By far this is my favorite Dean Koontz book. He takes the reader on a great romp, all the while making you look at the world we live in. There are no extra terrestrials, no forces from another world or dimension. Koontz presents characters that are...

Scary - because of the real feeling!

Pros: Scary - shows two completely different kinds of evil
Cons: None!
Review: This book is political, which makes it different from the majority of Koontz' books. This is not a bad thing - in fact, the added touch of reality makes it even better, simply because you can't just put the book away afterwards and say: "Oh well,...
