Delonghi makes one of the very best fryers on the market

by   lettingyouno ,  May 20, 2007
Pros: Digital readout and push button controls. Easy to put together, easy to work and clean.
Cons: Digital controls and readout on wrong side. Useless viewing window. Digital control in increments.
Review: I've used this fryer several times and found it to work quite well so far. I bought it mainly for the digital readout, which very few fryers have. If Delonghi could make a few improvements, it would be the best fryer available. 1.Have the electrical ...

DeLonghi Dual Zone Deep Fryer mostly does what it should

by   some_guy5 ,  Aug 13, 2006
Pros: digital control, 3 pound capacity, break away cord, heating element right in the oil
Cons: tap leaked! Temp controls in multiples of 7.
The Bottom Line: Generally fine.
Review: Having a deep fryer opens a door to all kinds of cooking options. I’ve had some deep fry cooking ideas for a long time, but couldn’t bring myself to pull the trigger (and who really needs to eat more deep fried food?). We recently wanted to ...

If you need aggravation, you found the product to give it to you

by   oskian ,  May 29, 2007
Pros: Nice looking unit, controllable temperature & timer
Cons: Very short lifespan, about as long as the warranty. Avoid this product!
The Bottom Line: Get any other brand but DeLonghi to avoid disappointment, but it is a good-looking unit! Maybe as an oily book-end?
Review: A piece of garbage if there ever was one. Barely lasted a year, even with very light use. Has a short inside the control box. DeLonghi will only fix it at my cost which could be as much as the unit itself, especially with S&H! The service rep was most ...

by   jim1945 ,  Jul 8, 2006
Pros: cooks nicely when working
Cons: not reliable, if it will not start, must be replaced
Review: the unit that I have, has been replaced once (at about 4 months)since it would not start, and within 6 months, the second unit is doing the same thing, it just doesn't come on when plugged in. ...

Desperately poor

by   feelingcheated ,  May 13, 2007
Pros: large capacity, oil drain
Cons: no seal, filter, poorly designed.
Review: I thought I was upgrading by buying this name brand, but the temp and timer controls are cumbersome and the rinky dink plastic part that positions the heating element broke after less than a year of use(maybe once every other ...
