Bargain Benz with Detroit muscle - An awesome combo

by   toolguy1963 ,  Dec 11, 2008
Pros: Fantastic engine, roomy, big boot, high speed stability - is there anything not to like?
Cons: You must be a mirror proficient driver - truck drivers won't have this problem.
The Bottom Line: The base line RT/5.7L MDS engine probably represents one of the best value sedans on the market. With a 7 year powertrain warranty you just can't go wrong.
Review: I keep coming back to the Charger I’ve been test-driving Chargers off and on for about three years now. Technically I’m supposed to be finding my wife a new car and this is the one I keep coming back to. I own all the old ...

Suicide Machine under $40,000

by   bigtruckseries ,  Jan 23, 2008
Pros: SXT,R/T or SRT8 with MyGig provide owner PRIDE and envoke the envy of other motorists.
Cons: Flimsy interior elements, AWD is a necessity, Gas mileage on better models suck.
The Bottom Line: While the SXT AWD is the best all around choice, the R/T and SRT8 provide illegal digit speeds for the social deviant in all of us.
Review: What will you choose? A 4-door with menacing looks that has a decent fuel economy and so-so acceleration? Or... A muscular hotrod that lets you jump off lights, putting the owners of more expensive Lexus, BMW and Audi models sucking down the ...

2008 Dodge Charger

by   charlotteac7 ,  Dec 2, 2008
Pros: Beautiful, sleek design inside and out, easy to drive, no hydroplaning
Cons: Blind spots!
The Bottom Line: I really love this car, and its great price, but frankly it is not worth the blind spots.
Review: I bought this car because I fell in love with its looks, and it was a decent price compared to my last car (which was totaled!). It really is a great car, and I love how sleek and new looking its style is. The inside is as nice as the outside; all of the ...

The price is right.

by   turinturumart ,  Oct 21, 2008
Pros: solid metal body, stable, comfortable, roomy
Cons: cheapy interior, keyless ignition, honks when locked, minimal body trim, poor visibility
The Bottom Line: Dodge Chargers are advertised on TV for under $17k at DeMontrond in Houston. That's cheaper than a Corolla (last time I checked)!
Review: My wife and I have been renting a basic model Charger for a few weeks. The car is huge and comfortable, with lots of room and a solid feel on the road, a rare find at 25 mpg highway (I verified this). The car looks good from some angles, but cheap from ...

Not for me.

by   kfor ,  Jun 8, 2009
Pros: An exciting, sleek look.
Cons: Boredom is the reality.
The Bottom Line: All show, it feels like a "land boat".  Let someone else own it.
Review: This review is based off a rental over a long weekend.  I drove a Charger SE around town and across the state during this time.  This particular model had a V6 and 4 speed automatic, 4 wheel disc brakes, and rear wheel drive. It ...

Styled to a Fault

by   gjjim ,  Jul 27, 2008
Pros: It got me from point A to B with no major problems.
Cons: Very poor visibility; Poor ergonomics for turn signal lever
Review: I recently drove a Dodge Charger on a 500 mile trip. It was a rental car, and since I'd never driven one before I accepted it. The car had 12,000 miles on the odometer so I assume the engine, tires, etc., were all broken in. I am average height ...
