Need For Speed: Attack Of The Product Placement!

by   Shaunpm60 ,  May 2, 2006
Pros: Looks nice, good car variety, plenty of replay value, Xbox LIVE play.
Cons: Open city is wasted, too much product placement, bad soundtrack.
The Bottom Line: Despite the fact that the open environment is wasted potential, much of the game is still great fun, and much longer than the first NFSU.
Review: You would be an idiot to think that EA wouldn't follow up Need For Speed Underground one year after it's release. One of the more popular titles in 2003, Need For Speed Underground brought street racing into the mainstream by offering gamers to race ...

High octane thrills on the DS

by   yackers1 ,  Jun 18, 2009
Pros: Great graphics, good sound, fast and furious.
Cons: Only limited numbers of vehicles on the screen at any one time
The Bottom Line: The best racing game on the DS that will keep you entertained for hours. It even has a story line
Review: A quick look at the game’s case and the title of “Need for Speed Carbon” you’d be forgiven for thinking that this is a game that is purely marketed at petrol heads and those people that are either too young to drive, those people ...

An Incredible racing game that you can play for days at a time

by   cubcrazy5 ,  Jul 7, 2005
Pros: Customizing, trucks, cars, graphics, driving, the city, maps, levels.
Cons: Voice monologue
The Bottom Line: I hope you liked my review....I happen to find it quite helpfull!!!
Review: I just finished playing this game and im stunned by how well this game was put together. You start out with one car and you can customize it and make it faster. After you get further in the game, you can do that with another car, or even a truck. I ...

Need for Speed Underground 2 - Pimp My Ride and Take It for a Spin

by   vadimio ,  Dec 20, 2004
Pros: 30 licensed cars, Xbox Live compatible, hundreds of cool upgrades to tinker with
Cons: disappointing soundtrack, open-ended gameplay becomes tedious
The Bottom Line: Need for Speed Underground 2 tries to emulate the Grand Theft Auto formula. It doesn't succeed… but everything else does.
Review: It all started with MTV's show, "Pimp My Ride", hosted by rapper Xzibit. Now, tuning and visually upgrading cars has become more popular than ever. Video games such as Midnight Club 2, Street Racing Syndicate and movies such as "The Fast and The Furious" ...

Do you have a NEED for Speed Underground 2 ??

by   boden11 ,  Nov 14, 2004
Pros: Large virtual city to run around in, many types of races and lots of gameplay.
Cons: Repetitive and also not as enjoyable as the original.
The Bottom Line: A must for any racer fan...if you liked the first one you'll enjoy this one. If you didn't like the first one you still won't like it!
Review: It seems like I've grown up with Need for Speed video games. Honestly! From a 386 to a P4 or Xbox/PS2 console there has always been a brand spanking new Need for Speed game. This is the latest--Need for Speed Underground 2. It's the sequel to the very ...

Fun enough, but not perfect.

by   imerion ,  Dec 10, 2006
Pros: Fun and challenging, lasts long. Car customization is great!
Cons: Frustrating. Could use more tracks.
The Bottom Line: If you like racing you will probably like Need for Speed Underground 2. Its good. But try it first, for some people might find it frustrating.
Review: Also the DS has got its version of Need for Speed Underground 2 and its not a bad version. But its obvious its an early DS game and it has some irritating problems. Need for Speed Underground is about street racing. You'll race your opponents through ...

Pros and Cons of Need for Speed Underground 2

by   dustyred ,  Apr 21, 2007
Pros: realistic graphics. great game play. added features. may hours of game play.
Cons: shorter game play compared to many racers. less adjustable parts on some cars.
Review: This game is a exciting game with many added features compared to Need for Speed Underground #1. This game allows the player to decide what car he/she prefers to own and customize it the way you please. You drive around racing and gaining money from race ...

This Game Will Make U Dum

by   underdawg ,  Dec 25, 2004
Pros: It's fun. If you like racing, you will like this game.
Cons: Not an intelligent video game.
The Bottom Line: Don't get sucked in the racing subculture!
Review: Need For Speed Underground 2 is already a huge hit with kids, teens, and testocerone-driven people everywhere. But when you sit down to pick apart this game, it's really hard to see why. The graphics are okay, but voice acting is horrible, there isn't ...

Need For Speed: Underground 2 - Playing catch-up

by   jkafer ,  Aug 29, 2005
Pros: Beautifully detailed city, nice cars, many upgrades
Cons: Boring gameplay, lifeless city, Brooke Burke uses her voice. Nothing new
The Bottom Line: Not as good a sim as Forza, and not as arcadey fun as Burnout 3. So where does that leave it?
Review: I've been a racing game fan for several years, beginning with the not-so-racing-game Carmageddon back in the day. Admittedly, my interests have changed, but I still like to revisit the genre, especially one with as good a pedigree as Need for Speed. Not ...

Tuner Life Revisited

by   ice91 ,  Feb 25, 2005
Pros: New free driving mode
Cons: Poor story plot, too many ads, driving still not anywhere near realistic
The Bottom Line: Don't even waste your money.
Review: When I saw that EA had come out with a new Need For Speed: Underground game I just had to know if they had changed anything from the last failed attempt. I will just say it flat out I really didn't like the first NFS: UG game. But this is a review ...
