Look Out Photo Labs!

by   topaz8 ,  Mar 5, 2007
Pros: Excellent Quality Prints, Convenient
Cons: Hmmm... the ink doesn't last forever?
The Bottom Line: The great print quality and convenience make this a great buy. I am very happy with this purchase.
Review: I had taken my digital photos to be printed at several different stores with photo labs and was disappointed with the quality I was getting. In considering which photo printer to buy, I liked the fact that the Epson PictureMate prints are waterproof. ...

This printer prints out awesome pictures!

by   seajsd ,  Apr 23, 2008
Pros: Portable, prints beautiful photos at home, uses memory cards.
Cons: Only prints 4x6, nothing else
The Bottom Line: Small, portable, inexpensive ink, prints beautiful photos in a snap
Review: Really good printer for the price. Why go to a photomat to develop pictures when you can do it at home? The only downside is that the biggest prints are 4x6 but that is all! I love the fact that it's portable, you can take it anywhere with you! It is ...

Excellent Photo Printer

by   sberkowitz ,  Jan 26, 2007
Pros: Cropping, B&W, Sepia, Color Fixing, Wallet size
Cons: Doesn't do 5x7's
Review: I highly recommend this photo printer. The instructions were super easy to follow. Once I got it up and running (approx. 10 minutes). My mom and I anxiously awaited the pictures. When the first one came out, all we kept saying was, "Oh my goodness! ...

PictureMate personal photo lab works like a charm.

by   mnfilmbuddy ,  Sep 9, 2006
Pros: Excellent image quality. Easy to set up and use with any camera or memory card.
Cons: Prints up to 4X6 pictures. LCD screen is B&W. No preview or thumbnail view.
Review: I recently purchased the Epson PictureMate Personal Photo lab as a companion to my 3.2 Megapixel still digital camera. I have never owned a photo printer and had been using a deskjet printer to "proof" my images before going to the local Walgreens or ...

Surprisingly Good

by   wsmunch ,  Jun 12, 2005
Pros: Low cost of prints, smudge/water proof, card reader, compatible with external devices
Cons: Hardware is huge & not very "portable", muddy yellows, sometimes muddy text & contrasts
The Bottom Line: If you don't care about size & weight, but care about good photos that cost half as much as most other printers, then this would be one to consider.
Review: Epson is a printer manufacturer that has more of a loyal following for a customer base, rather than one based on overall quality. Low end Epson printers are prone to finicky issues relating to software, cartridge replacement, and ...

Update! Driver/Software Updates Have Improved This Camera

by   dampier ,  Jan 31, 2007
Pros: Camera's hardware design has great potential, built-in mic performs well. New drivers.
Cons: Logitech's slow response to known driver defects was unacceptable.
The Bottom Line: After Logitech finally released new drivers, this camera now carries an above average recommendation as previous lighting problems have been better addressed.
Review: (Update: 4/24/07: A software/driver upgrade has dramatically improved the performance of this camera, nearly solving the lighting issue which was by far the biggest issue. I can now recommend this camera for those considering it, but not without ...

Logitech Webcam Ultra Vision

by   kingpablo ,  May 29, 2007
Pros: Good web support, fantastic picture quality.
Cons: At $120 its very expensive for a webcam
The Bottom Line: The picture quality is better than normal.
Review: Repeat Customer This is my fourth webcam purchase. I was sold on the Logitech name, and I've had good experience in the past with their products. This is in theory the Cadillac of webcams. Its so...Big? I was actually surprised at ...

Lighting and drivers hamper a good camera

by   fsafadi ,  Mar 6, 2007
Pros: Great design, clear microphone
Cons: Troublesome install and severe video lighting problems.
The Bottom Line: May 2007, new driver improves lighting and picture. Things are looking better, but not perfect.
Review: Overall, the Logitech Ultra Vision appears to be a well designed web cam with thoughtful features that falls short on performance. Installation issues on Vista resolved only with a tech call, and dark video in any lighting condition. Problems that may or ...

don't buy this product - used 10 times and dead

by   techguy137 ,  Dec 8, 2006
Pros: printed good photos when it worked, compact, user-friendly control menu
Cons: $9.95 service charge for troubleshooting help on "out of warranty" items 1 year old
The Bottom Line: Don't buy this printer or other Epson products--only warranted for 1 year then you have to shell out $9.95 for someone to read you their website for service.
Review: I received an "Epson PictureMate personal photo lab" printer as a gift last year. It has been used about 10 times to print about 100 photos. I have not used it in about 4 months, so today I turned it on and got a "General Error" that directed me to the ...
