Six inks really DO make for better pictures!

Pros: Six color, individual ink, high resolution
Cons: Large footprint
The Bottom Line: The Epson R260 can't be beat for picture quality and color in this price range.
Review: Printer technologies have really come a long way in recent history. They're smaller and faster, come with many bells and whistles, in dozens of form factors. But let's face it - unless you're just going to print boarding passes and black-and-white ...

EPSON R260: What is Ultra Hi-Definition?

Pros: Excellent photo quality, variable drop size, vibrant ink, borderless print, easy CD direct print
Cons: Relatively big, typical ink jet shortcomings, costly replacement cartridges (small)
The Bottom Line: Marketing lingo aside, the R260 is a great choice for home printing of stunning photographs.
Review: High Definition is virtually everywhere these days, even if it's not a TV. While more plausible than high definition glasses, Epson's new ink jet printer generation is taking it one step further claiming Ultra high definition. This is backed up by new ...

Epson Stylus Photo R260 review

Pros: Cheap way to print on-disc.
Cons: Can be a bit tricky, takes getting used to.
The Bottom Line: Decent paper printer, but the real key is CD option, which is worth it to have.
Review: I have used this machine quite extensively, and for an inexpensive on disco CD printer, I have to say I am quite pleased. The mechanism is quite clunky (plastic insert tray), and the process isn't streamlined for mass duplication, but for the cost, i ...

Pros: Makes great prints and for the price it a good value.
Cons: The toner inks are expensive.
The Bottom Line: Good value and great print quality.
Review: The Epson 260 Epson does a great job with their printers so I figured when I needed to replace my Epson 2200, I would spend less money, but stick with a great brand and purchase the 260. The design of the Epson 260 is similar to the 2200. ...

Pros: Good print quality. CD printer. Premium ink$. Tech/customer support on your dime.
Cons: String of defective units (unreliable). Customer service unresponsive to fair customer/product satisfaction :-(
The Bottom Line: Potentially an excellent printer but ink handling/costs and printer reliability/frustration issues make one unable to recommend it.
Review: I bought an R260 (1/07)to replace an HP1215 (loved it) which died. Since I had a d-SLR, I thought the R260 would be useful. The inks produced very nice prints, but when they indicate low, you must replace them immediately or printer is useless. So you ...

Pros: Price....but still not low enough.
Cons: This printer is noisy; Ink is very expensive and it runs out quickly.
Review: I bought this printer 3 months ago but I am going to have to buy a new printer. This printer is noisy and the printing is low quality after a few months. The ink is very expensive and it runs out quickly. I have to change one of the 6 cartridges every ...

Excellent Doorstop

|
Pros: CD Printing, 6 ink cartridges to waste your money on, doorstop functionality
Cons: Ink lifespan, color, cost of ink, durability
The Bottom Line: Don't buy it, and it's made me leery of any Epson printers.
Review: This printer makes an excellent doorstop. As far as printing goes, a doorstop might do a better job. The colors are whacked out on plain and photo paper. But when you try again without its color correcting it's a bit better. The ink is expensive ...

Pros: It looks nice.
Cons: Everything about this printer and Epson in general is lacking. Should be recalled.
The Bottom Line: This really is junk. I have never owned such a poor piece of computer equipment. Tech support is worthless. No toll-free number.
Review: I purchased two of this model, the first wouldn't recognize the factory cartridges. Two calls and 45 minutes later on my dime I might add, I am given a reference number and told a new unit will be sent out. 3 weeks later having heard nothing I call the ...

Pros: Price.. and ease of use.
Cons: Noisy, Defective, Cheap piece of junk.
The Bottom Line: You get what you pay for.. Pay a cheap price for a cheap piece of junk that keeps breaking down.
Review: I looked around for great deals on printers, and unfortunately.. ran across this Epson Printer. It was greatly discounted at a Staples nearby. Thinking that I got an amazing deal, i was extremely ecstatic. Setting up the printer was a breeze on the ...

Pros: It works great the first time ONLY!
Cons: It's a piece of unreliable junk. See the above comments.
Review: My second Epson color printer for printing CD/DVD labels, this one is equally a piece of junk as the first. Don't waste your money on the ink carts - The generic ones work as well, for a third or less of the price. The problem is that (no matter what ink ...
