Eureka! Tetragon 7 - Perfect for the casual camper (and everyone else!)

by   rice75 ,  Aug 6, 2002
Pros: Easy setup, Good price, good protection from the elements.
Cons: None that I can think of.
The Bottom Line: If you can get this tent at a good price you will not be disappointed. It is easy to setup and is built from quality materials. I strongly recommend it.
Review: My wife and I went camping this past weekend for the first time this summer and I realized that I had some great equipment that I could write reviews for here on Epinions. The outdoor equipment category needs as much attention as the others here on...

Eureka Tetragon 7

by   back2nature ,  Nov 18, 2002
Pros: Storm-proof, Wind-proof, Lightweight, Dependable, Super Easy Set-Up
Cons: Small amount condensation, only one see-out window, no mud mat.
The Bottom Line: The Eureka Tetragon 7 is an excellent, moderately priced, reasonably light (3 lbs. per two persons to backpack), easy set-up, no frills, dependable, adventure-backpacking and camping tent.
Review: Approximately a year ago we purchased the Eureka Tetragon 7 and to this day it has served us well in conditions from cold weather, 23 F. on a week long trek on the A.T. in North Carolina and as well through 3 days of torrential storms while camping...

EUREKA! I've Found A Love Of Seeing The Sunrise.

by   MsBayLady ,  Jun 29, 2000
Pros: easy to set up, roomy, airy, nice for a family
Cons: heavy, not for backpacking
Review: Note: This review is actually about the Eureka Sunrise series of tent. The Sunrise is very similar to the Tetragon but it is larger and designed for families.

In late September I had the opportunity to camp in a...

2006 Tetragon! Not Bad for the money..Satisfied

by   bassheadjohn ,  May 29, 2006
Pros: Performs. Lots of mesh keeps bugs out and air moving. Dry in rain.
Cons: A little short. No vestibule, only 1 door.
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this tent. It is great for the money and performs. Keeps rain and bugs.
Review: FOR STARTERS: I did a decent amount of research before purchasing this tent. I believe the 2006 model, which I purchased, has been totally redesigned. It looks a lot different than what is pictured in this review. The price of the tent is reasonable but ...

My summer home away from home

by   DoubleCoog ,  Nov 21, 1999
Pros: Price; interior room; light weight; durable
Cons: Tent snobs will look down at you ; )
The Bottom Line: The Tet 7 is a great deal -- having many features equal to or better than tents several times its price.
Review: For seven weeks during the summer of 1998, as I bicycled across America, the Eureka Tetragon 7 was my home away from home; for 40 of the 45 days even under high winds, thunderstorms & hail, the Tetragon provided me with a relatively dry and safe...

Goodmorning, I'm dry, how are you? (updated!)

by   Delia100 ,  Jul 12, 2000
Pros: "Permeable Taffeta nylon"
Cons: lots of parts
The Bottom Line: Roomy, attractive, the Eureka Tetragon 7 is a winner with its big windows and breathable fabric.
Review: I've had my A-framed Eureka Timberline tent for 7 years now, and I camp about 2-3 weeks out of the year. Here's the report on how it has held up: Half the aluminum poles are bent. I've unbent them to some extent, but they are definitely NOT straight ...

COOL TENT

by   rhiannaj ,  Dec 8, 1999
Pros: Dependable
Cons: Winter is kinda harsh
Review: This tent is one of the best I think. A friend of mine has one and we go camping every year. We love it. It's roomy enough for us both and it keeps us pretty warm too. She has had this tent for awhile now I am not sure how long but it is really cool....

Me and my Sunrise

by   bakedbeaner ,  Aug 6, 2000
Pros: Value, ease of use, quality construction
Cons: Not 100% waterproof, needs messy sealant
Review: My wife and I are veteran canvas tent campers who recently decided to forsake our 30 year old canvas cabin tent to get something newer. We bought a Eureka Sunrise, an 11'x11' model similar to the Tetragon 7 in features. We have used it just once on a 2...

Simply Perfect

by   WhiteGlove ,  Jul 7, 2000
Pros: Very easy to put up, even by novices
Cons: No padding on floor, could be a little warmer
Review: Like MsBayLady's opinion, this is about the Eureka Sunrise tent.

I had a triathlon race for which you have to camp out to participate in. A friend and I had done this a couple years ago, but had stayed at a hotel 40 miles away (just...
