Fear Nothing: Don't Be Scared, It's a Great Book (Write-Off)

by   KingJFS ,  Mar 14, 2001
Pros: great characters in a great plot told greatly
Cons: too "authorly" at times
The Bottom Line: Read the review, then read the book. It's that simple.
Review: Fear Nothing by Dean Koontz is a story told through the eyes of it's main character, Christopher Snow. And what eyes they are. You see, Christopher Snow has a rare genetic disorder called XP (the full medical term is something much longer). XP makes...

"Fear Nothing", by Dean Koontz: Surf's Up!

by   margomargo ,  May 16, 2000
Pros: Great adventure, and two more books coming!
Cons: none
Review: Chris Snow is a twenty-six-year-old California surfer dude who suffers from a very rare disease called xeroderma pigmentosum, or XP for short. Sunlight is deadly to him, bright light is extremely harmful. He lives in a world of moonlight, dimmer...

Don't Fear Picking Up THIS Book!!

by   Kaurisma ,  Oct 15, 2000
Pros: Characters, "UNIQUE" Government conspiracy storyline, ORSON
Cons: Not a definitive conclusion, so def. pick up the NEXT book!!
Review: Living only two streets away from Stephen King, I've grown up reading everything horror, except for Dean Koontz. Despite the hype, the similarity and the skill, I had never opened up a Koontz book, until I stumbled across one of those book clubs that...

Fear Nothing will make you totally feel quite the opposite.

by   the_brood ,  Mar 31, 2002
Pros: The eerie atmosphere of the whole novel. Very interesting plot.
Cons: Koontz should've made it a little bit longer.
The Bottom Line: You want resident evil-style of action? Or something new but will truly grab your attention? Fear Nothing and Seize The Night will please you dearly.
Review: I have purchased this book and read it months after i've read Seize The Night. Being a resident of the Philippine Islands, availability of foriegn books is one of the things i loath about this country. Fear Nothing has been pulled out of the shelves long...

Supreme Suspense

by   sunnydayM ,  Jan 27, 2000
Pros: A THRILLER
Cons: None
Review: Do you like a fast paced story line that keeps you biting your nails in suspense? Then you will love FEAR NOTHING! The plot begins to build early in the story when Chris Snow is called to the hospital bed of his dying father and continues unabated until...

Fear Nothing: The novel that got THIS reader addicted to Koontz!

by   chaiankh99 ,  Jul 14, 2003
Pros: EVERYTHING - plot, characters, language, uniqueness
Cons: I hated to see it end - I loved it so much I wanted more!
The Bottom Line: I recommend this book with more enthusiasm than I have ever recommended any book to anyone. It is without question the best book I have ever read.
Review: I am 17 years old and have been an avid reader my entire life. Dean Koontz was never an author I ex ...

Fear Nothing

by   VeeZee ,  Nov 25, 1999
Pros: Well-Developed Characters, Engaging Plot, Fast-Paced
Cons: Story Left Open at the End, Not a Light-Hearted Read
Review: I'm an avid reader of Dean Koontz novels, having read all but his latest, Seize The Night, and that total numbers close to thirty-five. Therefore, I can honestly say that Fear Nothing is one of his best achievements to date. It is the first book in a...

Koontz Has Great New Characters!

by   Jannie0 ,  Feb 2, 2000
Pros: It has it all!
Cons: None!
Review: FEAR NOTHING has me hooked on Koontz's newest character; Christopher Snow.

Christopher is a vibrant, brave and unyielding man, living as normal a life as possible in spite of his rare genetic disorder that only allows him to...

One of my top 3!

by   solitaire ,  Jul 2, 2000
Pros: One of his best
Cons: I was sorry when it ended.
Review: Dean Koontz is my favorite writer, and this book is in my top 3. Also in my top 3 are the sequel to this Seize the Night and Watchers.

The only thing constant.....is change, FEAR IT!

by   rabbit13 ,  May 11, 2000
Pros: Excellent use of character traits to make the book "work"
Cons: Pretty descriptive horror at times
Review: Dean Koontz does it again. He makes his listener laugh, cry, shiver in anticipation...even fear what will happen next! Is darkness a friend or foe? Are the police the good guys? Who do you trust?

As a great admirer of Dean Koontz, I have...
