Pros: Playing feel,through-body stringing, classic look,awesome sound.
Cons: Limited tonal spectrum-but is it needed?

The Bass by which all others are measured

Pros: Price, playability, tone
Cons: Wide neck, limited pickup selection
The Bottom Line: These things are everywhere and they're all good. If you can't get a good sound, it isn't the instrument's fault.
Review: Back in the days when I believed that it was better to play 4 instruments badly, than to play one well, I took up bass and piano in addition to guitar.

I still play piano, and dabbled in bass for about 8 years including teaching the instrument...

great bass

Pros: everything is great
Cons: except for the pickups
Review: Great bass everything is good except the pick ups which sound, a tad dead emgs would fit it very nice.ive had it for 1 year now and I have no need for any more 4 strings cause this is the one. I've gone without tuning my bass for 2 weeks and it was fine....
