FFX: The Best $20 You Could Possibly Spend

by   lambchops ,  Nov 4, 2003
Pros: Amazing graphics, great gameplay, fascinating plot...
Cons: Long FMV's (cut scenes), linear play...
The Bottom Line: The RPG that started it all for me.
Review: First things first. I have to get a little something off my chest. It took until buying a Playstation 2 for me to become enamored with RPGs. I’ve always been a fan of video games in general, but tended to enjoy first-person shooters, puzzle games, ...

'...Die And Be Free Of Pain, Or Live And Fight Your Sorrow!'

by   awoolcott , top reviewer in Games at Epinions.com ,  Mar 8, 2004
Pros: Teaching Yuna the Threaten ability is greatly amusing, especially when it works
Cons: A bit of a slow starter aside from the first 20 minutes
The Bottom Line: 3500 words, a total lack of objectivity in nearly all of them. Boo-frickin'-hoo.
Review: It’s been almost 7 years now since Squaresoft made RPG’s more than a niche genre, with the release of Final Fantasy VII. Before FFVII, the series toiled with just 3 installments released in America (I, IV, and VI, with the last two titled II and III here ...

Final Fantasy X for Dummies

by   flamepillar ,  Feb 12, 2002
Pros: Graphics, Sound, Side quests up the wazoo, damage barrier increased to 99999!
Cons: For the first few hours, 75% of your time will be spent watching dialogue.
The Bottom Line: If you're a Final Fantasy fan, get this!!! If you're not a Final Fantasy fan, get this anyway. And make some popcorn.
Review: Lucky little me had a bit of cash left over after the loan and the dentist visit. It was my chance to more or less "renew my subscription" to the ever heralded series that is Final Fantasy.

So, with the Play Station 2 in a bag in my right...

Final Fantasy X - All I can say is Wow!

by   Kittyokc ,  Jul 22, 2005
Pros: Just about everything.
Cons: Lips don't always match up with the words, but it's not a big issue.
The Bottom Line: A must-have game for anyone who likes RPG's.
Review: Admittedly, I'm late to the RPG craze, since I liked The Lord of the Rings: The Third Age, my son suggested I try Final Fantasy X. I was a bit hesitant at first, but decided to give it a go and boy, am I glad I did! Now I understand what all the ...

I'm Not A Virgin Anymore

by   annecal ,  Sep 27, 2002
Pros: Huge, involved, stunning to look at!
Cons: Takes some time getting used to (but its worth it)!
The Bottom Line: FFX made me go from Virgin to Addict in 34:58 hours!
Review: I’m not a virgin anymore! A Final Fantasy Virgin, that is. I am currently about 35 hours into Final Fantasy X, and I’m hooked- I love it! I was hesitant to buy the game to begin with. I was intimidated by the size of it, and the way people...

Final Fantasy X PS2 - Square continues its legacy

by   Rock_On , top reviewer in Games at Epinions.com ,  Feb 9, 2002
Pros: awesome everything
Cons: I couldn't find anything that would decrease game play
The Bottom Line: Why the Electronic Arts Final Fantasy PS2 ELA 9805?
Review: Final Fantasy X(10) has arrived over here in America from those greedy Japanese(no offense to any Japs here on Epinions, I’m talking about Japan getting all the excellent games MONTHS{or even years} before we do) and it’s taken my PS2 by storm....

Final Fantasy? Hell no!

by   ChromeKiller , top reviewer in Games at Epinions.com ,  Feb 9, 2002
Pros: Gorgeous graphics, amazing sounds, and an all-new storyline.
Cons: The character lip-synching hasn't been perfected here.
The Bottom Line: If you're looking for the best in PS2 RPGs, look no further. FFX has many new game elements to explore that are vastly different than any of the previous titles.
Review: When Squaresoft announced that their next Final Fantasy game would use characters that could speak using not just subtitles, but sound, the world was shocked. Final Fantasy X is Squaresoft's tenth major instalment in the Final ...

Final Fantasy X: The ultimate role-playing experience

by   ariels1200 ,  Jan 12, 2004
Pros: almost everything, especially the stunning graphics and the new greatest hits price!
Cons: some of the voice acting is flawed, and Yuna is by far the worst!
The Bottom Line: Definitly go out and buy it, at twenty bucks that's hard to beat!
Review: People have been whispering it since Final Fantasy VI. They've been discussing since FFVII. And with FFVIII, they shouted it from the hilltops. "Final Fantasy is no longer a legitimate RPG." See, there's that little problem of "G" in "RPG", ...

Final Fantasy X - My Favorite of the Final Fantasy Series and Still Running

by   staceums ,  Sep 12, 2007
Pros: Wonderful gameplay, intriguing plot, great graphics
Cons: Some might find the narration a little lengthy...and too often
The Bottom Line: I bought this game back in 2002 when it was $49.99 and I still believe to this day that it was worth every penny. Go get it!
Review: Within the first few minutes of the game, you are introduced to a world that looks absolutely demolished. You are Tidus, the main character of Final Fantasy X, and as you sit there solemnly with six other party members around a small campfire, a lonely ...

A New Series?

by   pendragen ,  Jun 2, 2002
Pros: Great game by all means.
Cons: Not up to par considering its legacy.
The Bottom Line: This game makes a revolutionary change from its predecessors, and can be considered the first in its own series. Is that good or bad? Hmm...
Review: Final Fantasy X is quite different from its nine predecessors. It is by far the most linear game of the series, and although some will like the change others will be disappointed that the Final Fantasy saga seems to be coming to an end....
