Pros: PLUG IN!!! shape, stars, mobile- the baby enjoys following after it with his eyes.
Cons: none- I am enjoying this swing!
The Bottom Line: This swing is a great buy for a newborn to 6 month baby!
Review: I remember my first swing (a decade ago) - it was used - in great condition, but it wound up. This meant that the ahhhh time when the baby is calmed down only lasted as long as the swing was wound, but the second it stopped I had to make a mad rush for ...

Pros: don't need batteries, great lights and music, rotates
Cons: canopy is within reach of child
The Bottom Line: GET THIS SWING!!! I haven't seen anything like it on the market. Babies love the lights and music and anything that is this interactive without batteries is a must!
Review: This swing has been a lifesaver for us! I dread the day my little guy gets too big for it! From the first day we brought him home from the hospital, he has loved it. At night, I turn on the light feature and stars fill the room, which keeps him ...

Pros: Wonderful unisex whimsical theme! Ability to change directions and control music and volume
Cons: Takes up substantial space
The Bottom Line: I would highly recommend this swing to all new parents!
Review: I purchased this swing in June 2008 as a Birthday Gift for myself! Let me explain... I have a 4 month old daughter that refused to sleep anywhere but on me or my husband; while I enjoyed spending that time with her it became extremely difficult to get ...

Pros: Smooth glide, durable, comfortable, wonderful aesthetics, tons of options
Cons: Size
The Bottom Line: While I can't say this would work for every baby, it's indispensable in our household. Large, but the size is a safety feature in that the wide legs enhance stability.
Review: I was initially reluctant to invest in a swing for our newborn. This being our first child, I thought a swing was an unnecessary luxury. We ended up receiving the Fisher-Price Starlight Cradle Swing as a gift & it has *revolutionized* our ...

Pros: Plugs into the wall, 2 ways to swing
Cons: Could swing a little better
The Bottom Line: I definitely think this swing is worth the investment, particularly if you have a baby who likes the swinging motion.
Review: The style of the Papasan Cradle Swing is definitely the way to go, especially for floppy newborns. The Fisher Price Starlight Papasan Cradle Swing lays back and has a head support to keep newborns in place without their heads flopping all around. ...

Pros: No batteries needed!
Cons: Have to restart the lights and movement.
The Bottom Line: A little more expensive than other swings, but with the features, well worth it!
Review: When looking for a swing, I wanted one that would plug in and could move in two directions - the side to side and front to back. Both are features that other moms said they couldn't live without when I was asking for recommendations. Now that my daughter ...

Pros: Does not need batteries, babies love it.
Cons: Light show is connected to music. Fabric on seat is flimsy.
The Bottom Line: Excellent swing, loaded with features. Best of all, it runs on AC power. Unless you know what you are doing, don't buy a swing that only runs on batteries.
Review: This is a great swing chair with good features. Up until our twins were the age of about 9 months, we got a lot of use out of the swing (usage slowed down around the 6-month mark). We really liked the side-to-side/front-to-back interchangeability of ...
