Ecstatic with Our Ford Conversion Van

by   MichaelMgoo ,  Oct 15, 2000
Pros: Comfort and Reliability
Cons: Parking and Gas Consumption
The Bottom Line: Dependable, comfortable transportation. Designed for longer cruises and road trips, its ideal for trips to grandma's and to soccer tournaments.
Review: In 98, we needed to replace our sedan due to an accident. We looked at the mini vans available and were very displeased with the cramped conditions. With four children playing soccer, we needed something to get to games in comfort, to picnic in, and to...

Great for large families

by   mcnallys ,  Mar 24, 2001
Pros: Seating arrangement (Chateau with quad captains chairs, seats 7). Size. View.
Cons: MPG, however because the Econoline is cheaper to insure, MPG cost is offset.
The Bottom Line: If your after room for the family and the ability to run to Home Depot for a thousand pounds of concrete, this is the Van for you.
Review: We love our Ford Econoline E-150. It is big enough for our 3 kids, with room to spare for the dogs. The storage area behind the 3rd row bench is large enough for the family bikes (we have the Chateau with quad captains chairs and a third row bench...

by   dalskic ,  Apr 22, 2003
Pros: Well designed solid Easy to operate and drive
Cons: fuel economy steering can be challenging at times

Review: We purchased a 2000 E-350 Econoline Van for our large family. We had it converted by d'Elegance in Schoolcraft, Michigan. To say we have been pleased with it is an understatement. This vehicle looks great, rides well, and is roomy enough for long...

Powerful with cargo capacity!

by   The_Director ,  Nov 26, 2000
Pros: Size, power, visibility, price.
Cons: Tires, parking (just too long for average lots)
The Bottom Line: If space is what you need... this is the place for all the space!
Review:
The 15 passenger stretch 350 version of the econoline has several distinct benefits and advantages for those who need a lot of room and a lot of power. You'll find that the space, cargo handling capacity when all seats are removed, is really...

2000 Ford Van Perfect Fit

by   rich1713 ,  Jan 28, 2000
Pros: Plenty of seats, easy to drive
Cons: Space between the front seat and engine hub.
Review: The 2000 Ford Econoline E350 12-passenger van we purchased in November is a perfect fit for our growing family. We ordered this van in August, before the birth of our 6th baby and while we had to wait a few weeks longer than anticipated, it was well...

Solid Van

by   gruijj ,  Oct 4, 2000
Pros: Tough, will run forever
Cons: Like any big vehicle, uses a lot of gas.
Review: I added this van to my Love It list because compared to the other vans on the market it is far superior. The construction of the van is designed with durability in mind. As with other Ford vehicles, there is a high degree of emphasis placed on fit and...

Pros: Great suspension

Review: We recently bought a Ford Econoline 15 passenger van. We have a handicapped daughter, so we took out the first two bench seats to make room for her wheelchair. We put in a lift, raised the roof, and added a TV and video player. The suspension on this van...

Van Conversions Great Family Vehicle

by   loristrom ,  Mar 4, 2000
Pros: Kids are entertained and safe!
Cons: mileage is less than minivan
Review: I was in the market for a new van and I checked out all the mini-vans that are out there. I also began to look at the full size vans. I found that I could purchase a brand new Ford E-150 Van Conversion for about the same amount as the mini-van.
