Mustang GT: A great car that's fun to drive for a good price.

by   rjbeier ,  Mar 25, 2003
Pros: Performance and fun-to-drive quotient.
Cons: Squeaks and rattles.
The Bottom Line: For the price, this is a great car that's a lot of fun to drive that makes up for what it lacks and some of its problems.
Review: I feel, that since I have had my Mustang seventeen months and have put on just shy of 26,000 miles, I can make a fair assessment of this vehicle. I have a laser red 5-speed GT convertible with the premium package and a beige leather interior and beige...

GT still delivers on pony promise

by   iastatefan ,  Mar 23, 2002
Pros: Classic styling, one of the last true pony cars, plenty of power and FUN
Cons: Limited room for the 6'+ crowd, brake scoops overdone, backseat for children only.
The Bottom Line: For seriously fun driving around town without breaking the bank, I'd recommend looking at the 2002 Mustang GT. Just don't expect to put your friends in the backseat.
Review: I'd been riding a motorcycle exclusively for eight years, when I decided the time had come to get back on four wheels for awhile. The mean streets of Phoenix, Arizona are not known for their kindness to two-wheelers.

I had looked at a number...

The 2002 Ford Mustang GT-- An Ongoing Project

by   phillyjax ,  Nov 3, 2006
Pros: Looks great, Handles well, Huge aftermarket, Quick and Fun to Drive
Cons: A little light in the rear end-- which tends to bounce when cornering hard
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this vehicle to anyone who has inner race car driver within themselves, because it will be exposed when driving this car.
Review: I want to first give an introduction on how I became a Mustang owner. I was never really much of a car enthusiast, but that changed quickly when the opportunity to own such a classic vehicle was presented to me. It was during the summer of 2005 ...

Mustang Love

by   jackt357 ,  Jul 3, 2002
Pros: Sporty and for the young at heart.Fast, powerful and comfortable
Cons: I don't have one
The Bottom Line: Be a part of the tradition and at least test drive a Mustang
Review: I have been in love with the Ford Mustang, since I first owned a 1965 Mustang, which I purchased used when I got out of the U.S.Army in 1970.The ford Mustang was at the top of its class then and has remained there throughout the years.Other sporty cars...

My New Pony

by   Paragon930 ,  Jan 12, 2002
Pros: Cool looks, fun to drive, great sound system, powerful
Cons: Kinda small inside for a larger person, backseats lacking any comfort
The Bottom Line: This is a great car if you want something fun, but also safe to drive, and not compact inside.
Review: When my 1998 Plymouth Neon started giving me hard times, it was time to think about what other car I would want to drive.

Since the BMW 330Ci coupe was way out of my price range, and the celica and eclipse both were cute, but so was the neon,...

Who's a pretty girl then?

by   nightfever ,  Mar 26, 2002
Pros: Legendary looks; Muscle car image; Comfy leather interior; Attention the car demands.
Cons: Fight involved in putting the roof back up; Rear cabin leg room.
The Bottom Line: This would be my number one choice if I lived in USA. I would love to try the GT as i'm sure it must better the already legendary 3.8 unit.
Review: "awesome" - if I had to describe the 2002 Mustang in one word that would surely be it!

The 2001 Eclipse Spyder Convertible I rented 6 months prior was very nice and had a slightly better build quality, but the general image and feel of the...

very relible car, fun to drive

by   ffchris ,  Dec 29, 2007
Pros: A blast to drive, very reliable,26 mpg!
Cons: we had to have the rear axle rebuilt at 60,000.
The Bottom Line: very well worth the 28,000 price we paid, good interior features, not a lot of room but its a trade off, you wont go wrong with this car.
Review: We ordered ours in 2002 with the convertable, 5 speed trans, and the heavy duty cloth interior. We had a 2000, that had leather, and we did not like it. the 4.6 litre V-8 is virtually bulletproof, provided you change the oil regularly. We have had ...

My favorite sports car!

by   samirella ,  Feb 16, 2003
Pros: Power, Look, Ford Quality, Easy to Maintain
Cons: Small back seats, paint color hard to match (even at dealer)
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this car to someone looking for power, a nice look, and an affordable vehicle.
Review: I was in the market for a new car when my '97 Firebird decided to call it quits. I wanted a Trans Am, but with GM discontinuing the TA and Camaro, I had to look elsewhere. I wanted to stay with a sports car because I loved the power my Pontiac had. I...

True sports car

by   lamars1231 ,  Oct 13, 2001
Pros: Cutting edge styling, high performance, still somewhat reasonable price
Cons: When I wedge myself out of the car I will let you know (hint)
The Bottom Line: Want the best performance vehicle in America and you don't have the $75,000 or not have to wait for your car on an extensive waiting list? You want the Mustang.
Review: The body is beautiful, I use to be totally gag faced about the boxy 5.0, this creature is one wild looking horse. As for those wimpy I want a forgiving car; you might want to consider the car looks and performs like a beast. This is not your grandmas...

Refined Horse

by   mustangnut ,  Jun 23, 2002
Pros: Price, styling, features & handling.
Cons: Nothing I can think of.
The Bottom Line: In a nutshell...excellent handling, good performance, aggressive looks, sporty feel, great price!
Review: I bought my 2002 Mineral Grey GT at June 1st. I had owned a 1998 GT and loved the performance for what is classified as a mid-performance vehicle. When I bought my new car I expected nothing less. I have been doing a lot of city / highway driving and I...
