Do What They Do, Get What They Got!

by   AlvinKing ,  Sep 4, 2002
Pros: People with Fortunes read this magazine... should you? Rhetorical!
Cons: let's see.. what are YOU reading???
The Bottom Line: One of the things you'll learn by reading the stories of successful people in Fortune Magazine is that, they never gave up.
Review: There was an Old saying, that I didn't hear till I was about 21.... It goes.. "Keep doing what you've always done, and you'll keep getting what you always Get" .... pretty simple and yet, oh, so profound. Here's another one ... "Insanity is doing the...

Start your Fortune with Fortune

by   adamparish ,  Jul 16, 2002
Pros: A great source for business information and industry trends. Bi-weekly publication. Fortune 500 list.
Cons: It doesn't directly tell you how to become rich.
The Bottom Line: Fortune is the best unbiased business magazine with a slight twist of humor.
Review: Fortune is by far my favorite magazine. I know that reading it will not make me a fortune, and that really isn't the point. I read Fortune because I like to know what's going on in the business world. We all interact with business everyday. The...

by   charles ,  Oct 27, 2000
Pros: Magazine that can help increase your knowledge base of various industries; Lots of important business tips; Invaluable reviews of successful companies to work for; StreetLife and ValleyTalk are the best around
Cons: No complaints so far
Review: Fortune is one of the major business magazines I have been reading since my college days. I have read it for many reasons besides those attached to my field of study and business. It brings you the information you need to make up your mind on...

Fortune Magazine; An Excellent Bargain

by   Canfield ,  Jan 27, 2001
Pros: Less ads as compared to "Entrepreneur" magazine.
Cons: None
The Bottom Line: Overall Fortune is packed with interesting, colorful, and educational articles related to the business world.
Review: Fortune magazine contains a lot of reading material, especially considering the cost. For this fact alone I consider Fortune to be an excellent bargain.

I am not an all-powerful CEO or even a college business major. I do however usually...

Fortune is awesome!

by   christinah1 ,  Jun 17, 2002
Pros: Easy to understand even for a layman, excellent articles.
Cons: Too many reply cards.
The Bottom Line: This magazine is awesome. If some non-business oriented college kid can understand it then it is something anyone can enjoy.
Review: Let me just say that I stumbled on to Fortune by mistake. I had a free trial period with any magazine of my choice, I accidentally chose Fortune instead of People. When it came I tossed it to the side but picked it up out of curiosity. The information...

It may not be Forbes, but at least it's not Boring(Business)Week

by   tymorg ,  Dec 4, 1999
Pros: Always on top of the business climate
Cons: Each issue is larger than the previous and you have to devote more time
Review: Although I still consider Forbes Magazine to be my favorite business periodical, Fortune Magazine is consistently a close second. I feel compelled to epinionate (is that a word?) on Fortune because I am a regular subscriber. I take turns subscribing to...

This is top-notch journalism.

by   t13monkeys ,  May 9, 2000
Pros: great articles, tough accurate journalism, never bias
Cons: sometime too many "special advertising sections" making the magazine too bulky
Review: Fortune is unafraid to say anything. It even dares to mess with millionaire Donald Trump in an article where Trump as typical of him sent a letter to Fortune declaring he would sue them if they misrepresented his company in this article. Fortune simply...

by   gauldd01 ,  Oct 24, 1999
Pros: Well written, interesting and informative articles
Cons: Subscription magazine arrives after its on newsstands
Review: Fortune magazine has been the only magazine that has managed to keep me subscribed indefinitely. I have been buying Fortune since 1994 and it has helped me invest in great companies and avoid ones that are in trouble. The articles are concise and very...
