|
Pros: Great works between these two actors
Cons: ..........
Review: Frankie (Michelle Pfeiffer) is the loneliest woman in the world. She sits in her tawdry apartment and watches life pass her by from her window. She leads a no where life at a no where job. From her lonely window in her lonely life she watches a...

Pros: Al Pacino
Cons: bad cuts sometimes
Review: It is a lovestory about two people living a "normal" life finding together per "chance". It is their destiny to meet each other and they have to handle the situation. Great performance by Al Pacino and Michelle ...

Ordinary New Yorkers in Frankie and Johnny |
|||
|
Pros: Heartsweet, but not saccharine.
Cons: Some of the characters are a bit too broadly played.
The Bottom Line: Excellent, sad movie about finding love when you've given up.
Review: Once upon a time, playwright Terence McNally wrote a play called Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune. Then he was contacted by Hollywood, and thankfully, he did the screenplay for this one, making it one of the best slice of life films about...

Pros: Intense real deliverance of the 'emotional spectrum'-anger to frustration to anguish to truimph !
Cons: Not enough direction of courting from the 'excitement' standpoint.
The Bottom Line: To be able to see being given a 'second chance' at happiness with life, is possibly a good thing. Two hard-working people find what matters in life and share it.
Review: In 1991, Al Pacino and Michelle Pfeiffer were on-screen again in a simply passionate coupling that was set in downtown New York City. Two very lonely, no-where going individuals who decided to take on as a challenge, their boring attempts at surviving ...

Frankie and Johnny - Pacino and Pfeiffer miscast but it's romantic. |
|||
|
Pros: Stars charisma, Pfeiffer's acting, some effective scenes
Cons: sit-commy characters and miscasting
The Bottom Line: Better than average romantic comedy with charismatic performances by Pacino and Pfeiffer. If you don't know the original play you'll like it more.
Review: 1991's Frankie and Johnny was director Garry Marshall's follow-up to "Pretty Woman." It was based on the two character Terrence McNally play Frankie and Johnny at the Claire de Lune." On Stage the play was a fairly dark and authentic look at romance ...

|
Pros: Pacino and Pfeiffer
Cons: Love Story/Comedy from the early 1990's
Review: This film, produced in 1991, is a sleeper. It is directed by Garry Marshall (the director of Pretty Woman), and is a classic love story. This movie is highly predictable, but offers many amusements.
