|
Pros: Solid body feel, easy and smartly designed controls, great value for the money
Cons: Weird shape tricky for buying camera bags, skimpy 16MB xD card ships with camera
The Bottom Line: The S5000 is easy to use and a safe buy. It doesn't feel cheap like the delicate Minolta Dimage Z1, and has powerful 10X zoom, better than many other cameras.
Review: To set this review up properly, you need to understand a little of where I've been. My first digital camera ever was the Minolta Dimage V, a VGA-quality camera with a tilt-swivel lens head that succumbed to a single fall on the ground, and a Nikon ...

Pros: Lots of settings, ability to add filters attachments to lens, similar to expensive SLRs
Cons: Takes time and practice to fully use camera
The Bottom Line: Recommended for someone who wants a versatile, SLR-looking camera at an affordable price.
Review: Shopping online for a good digital camera, I was cued in on the Fujifilm FinePixS5000 when I mistakenly typed the wrong website for epinions and came to a site that compared digital cameras, with the Fujifilm FinePix S5000 as one of the top 3 on the ...

Pros: 10X-zoom, easy to use, lightweight even with batteries, 5-rapid pics, quiet operation, DURABLE.
Cons: Small memory card, battery dies without telling you, control knob moves inadvertently
The Bottom Line: For camera enthusiasts, who love to take pictures and videos in varying conditions, this is the camera for you. Lightweight and balanced. Excellent pics, but increased memory size needed. DURABLE
Review: New single important comment as of February 29, 2004 - I attended a cub scout meeting last night and one of the little rug rats dropped my camera about 3 feet to the vinyl (cement underneath) floor, the camera bounced, the battery door opened and all the ...

Pros: (1)Feels like a traditional SLR camera, (2)Features of more expensive cameras, (3)Can accommodate filters
Cons: *None -- I love it!
The Bottom Line: A great choice for folks looking for more than a point-and-shoot but don't want to pay top dollar.
Review: My wife and I have long wanted a digital camera but when we finally decided to purchase one, we realize that we have very different ideas of what is a good camera. My wife wanted a simple point and shoot that should could carry in her purse while I ...

Pros: Easy use, durable, professional quality prints, easy use software, user-friendly and lots of fun!
Cons: Memory card that comes with the camera is to small.
The Bottom Line: Highly recommend the Fuji S5000 for its ease of use, quality photos and that powerful 10X zoom and awesome macro ability for close-ups.
Review: Prior to purchasing the Fuji Finepix S5000 I was intimidated by the overwhelming choices of digital cameras on the market today. I've been using a plain point and shoot camera for years, so going digital was quite a leap for this armature. I knew that ...

Pros: Great zoom, remarkable resolution.
Cons: Sometimes forgets to turn off.
The Bottom Line: Fantastic camera, great resolution, great zoom capabilities, great battery life, options to suit everyone from the professional to the "point and shoot" amature. Movies isn't this cameras strong point.
Review: I've owned many digital cameras over the years. Everything from one of the first, which didn't even give a resolution or have a flash, (and cost a mortgage payment), to several Sony cameras, to this S5000. I am glad I bought this baby. Its 10X optical ...

Pros: 10x digital zoom

Feels durable
Takes quality pictures
Cons: Larger than most digital cams, but I think the pros outweigh that con.
The Bottom Line: I feel this really is the best camera out there for the money.
Review: I've been looking to upgrade from my low, low quality digital cam for quite sometime, but when I started to do the research, my head was spinning. So many cameras, so many options, so many pros and cons to weigh out. Based on the reviews, this camera ...

Pros: The 10X zoom is worth every penny.
Cons: Flash Photos: there is a noticeable delay before it is ready for the next photo.
The Bottom Line: I am pleased with the purchase and look forward to using it on the next family vacation.
Review: I am no professional photographer, but have used the Kodak DX3600 digital camera for a couple of years. I have always wanted a better zoom than the 2x optical provided by the Kodak (I will ignore the digital zoom). I was intrigued by the 10X optical ...

Pros: Easy to use, feature packed, quality pictures
Cons: Not for really fast action. Eats Alkaline batteries
The Bottom Line: Ease of use, fantastic Zoom, great flash, quality pictures, and the many features, make purchasing this camera a great choice for beginners & enthusiasts.
Review: I bought this camera on a salesman's recommendation. I was looking for a smaller camera but none of them seemed to have the right combinations of features for me. I was a little skeptical about this camera, ( I am truly a rookie at ...

Pros: Great quality lens, picture quality stellar, physically attractive body, useful in-camera modes, LOW price
Cons: Lower resolution than some other cameras (at 3.2 megapixels), but Fuji makes these megapixels count
The Bottom Line: The S5000 provides excellent lens quality, picture quality (plus CCD-RAW capability for professionals) for a very low price.
Review: The Fuji S5000 can produce what are, without a doubt, some of the best quality pictures in the non dSLR digital camera market. The S5000 benefits from Fuji's brand new Super CCD technology, giving it wider dynamic range (can capture more information from ...
