Bang For the Buck

by   dneblank ,  Feb 23, 2004
Pros: Inexpensive, Copper boiler, fast
Cons: Noisy, no warmer plate for cups
The Bottom Line: You could pay alot more for a machine that is probably not much better. This looks nice, is fairly easy to use, and makes great espresso.
Review: I've just started drinking espresso and related drinks and decided to buy my own machine rather than continue paying high prices at coffee shops. After looking around and reading reviews at coffee sites, I came across the Gaggia Carezza. Prices for ...

Pros: Economical, Makes good Espresso, Uses Pods, Does not require plumbing

The Bottom Line: On a budget? New to espresso making? This is the machine for you!!! I love mine!
Review: I used to barista years ago and grew to appreciate a 'good' shot of espresso. I was constantly running around to Starbucks, Caffe a Via and other establishments to get espresso and espresso based drinks. In an effort to conserve money I did some ...

Gaggia Carezza

by   pinguin ,  Dec 15, 2006
Pros: Great tasting espresso and cappuccinos, gets warmed up fast.
Cons: Messy if you forget to turn off the steam switch before removing the portafilter.
The Bottom Line: A good espresso machine for someone looking to buy an entry level pump machine.
Review: The Gaggia Carezza is a very good espresso and latte machine. I had an old non pump espresso machine that I never used that I replaced with this machine. And thank goodness I did! This thing makes cappuccinos like Starbucks! And I'm a beginner, once ...

Nice machine, nice price, great coffee

by   matthewrhall ,  Aug 28, 2007
Pros: Lots of pressure, easy to use and clean. Reputable brand for 200 bucks.
Cons: Noisy, inconveniently located water reservoir.
The Bottom Line: For making a reasonable shot of espresso this machine is a bargain, it has already paid for itself, having kept me chain store free since I've had it.
Review: My wife and I sold our fully automatic Gaggia Synchony Compact when we moved from London UK to Houston Texas. When we arrived in Texas we had grandiose ideas about upgrading to a fancier fully automatic. However surfing the coffee lists on Amazon I ...

Good Coffee but Drippy, Noisy and Reservoir Design Problem

by   djsepinions ,  Oct 20, 2004
Pros: Good coffee. Same internals as more expensive Gaggia's.
Cons: Too loud and too messy.
The Bottom Line: If you need to spend the bottom dollar on a well performing machine - this is a good choice - otherwise spend a little more to avoid the annoyances.
Review: My Epinions Philosophy When I make a purchase, epinions is one of my most valuable resources for non-biased experiences and information. When I come here to research a product I read all of the reviews and the product specifications and details ...

Pros: Looks pretty.
Cons: noisy machine. non-existent customer service
Review: I purchased a Gaggia Carezza Silver on Amazon. I was excited to receive my first pump cappuccino machine. The price seemed reasonable. I can't review how good the cappuccino is, because I have not yet been able to make one. I tried the ...
