Pros: Garmin quality, excellent mapping, ability to optimise lists of destinations and touchscreen
Cons: No batteries, somewhat non-standard antenna connection SLIGHTLY limits external antenna flexibility.
The Bottom Line: Buy it - you will not regret it. This is an excellent navigation unit. I personally prefer the 276c, but read the review to find out why.
Review: This is top-based posting, so you need to read what follows to know what the history is. Update: September 15, 2005 Finally (10 weeks after it began) I received my replacement unit from Garmin - to unjam the system I wrote a letter to upper ...

Pros: Great display and re-calculation speed, rich feature set.
Cons: Requires car adapter, should come with larger CF card standard
The Bottom Line: The 2610 is a worthy choice if you are considering a built-in navigation system or if you travel extensively. If your needs aren't as robust, consider the Garmin QUEST.
Review: If you're evaluating the Garmin GPSV, GPS 60c, Quest or 2610/2620 units for auto-navigation use, this review might be of interest to you... I work with the sales staff of a software company whose territory is the entire US and Canada. As such, it is ...

Pros: Fast processor, great touchscreen, easy to use, intuitive, flexible configurations. GPS routing is wonderful.
Cons: The Mapsource software that goes on your PC works, but is complex and non-intuitive.
The Bottom Line: Not a lot of products meet my approval. The Garmin 2610 is one of those products that I can recommend to friends, and be sure they'll remain friends.
Review: I work as an analyst in the mobile technology industry, and Location Based Products (like the 2610) is one of the areas I cover. I have found this unit to be extremely well designed, and a joy to use. That's from a guy who has tried about 12 similar ...

Pros: Small, Great Screen, one wire, excellent remote control, great bean-bag mounting system, accurate.
Cons: takes a minute or two to locate satelites. should come w/ a bigger CF card.
