Pros: hasn't needed to be replaced
Cons: attracts dust
The Bottom Line: I'd definitely recommend this to someone looking for an inexpensive used monitor.
Review: I have a year old Dell computer. It's cute. It's grey. It sits under my desk and I could swear it smiles at me. It's a good thing that it can't see what's sitting on top of the desk. And what's on top of the desk? A Gateway EV700 monitor, circa 1997. I ...

Pros: Excellent durability, Quality design, Vivid colors, Sharp resolution, Excellent bang for the buck
Cons: Clunky startup
The Bottom Line: Excellent durability, Functionality, and Quality.
Review: Originally, this EV700 came with my gateway computer back in 1997. I still own the same monitor, along with the same old clunky 400mhz computer. The monitor itself is made with superior quality, being used constantly and still working like new.

Pros: This is a great LARGE monitor.
Cons: None.
The Bottom Line: It is a wonderful monitor with numerous features that I have never had before.
Review: I love my new EV700. I have owned it for 2 months now and I just can't believe what a difference two inches makes on a screen. I just love how it doesn't seem like I am straining as much.
I am also very fond of how the menu and select buttons are... |

Pros: Good image, Cheap, power saving, good colour, easily adjustable
Cons: HEAVY, huge, slightly fuzzy
The Bottom Line: The monitor is extremely easy to use, the viewable area is great. The only downfall is its weight.
Review:
I recently brought a computer and chose this monitor for its ease of use and affordability. It has a nice large screen that is usefull when viewing web pages made for bigger screns. DVD's are great to watch on it too, mainly because it... |

Pros: Crisp picture quality
Advanced menu structure Cons: Non-detachable VGA cable
Quite bulky at the rear (applies for some first/second generation models) Review: Features: 17-inch (diag.) LG picture tube Rotary control (on some models) I have a second hand, second generation EV700 I have used for nearly two years now. I came across it when a friend gave it to me, since he was upgrading to an LCD-type ...

Pros: 17" monitor that works, very little picture distortion, and it's cheap.
Cons: Some Moire effects.
The Bottom Line: A good value, if you can find them.
Review: Having using the old EV700s like the one pictured here in ePinions, I was ready to write my review. However, the EV700 keeps evolving! The second gen recieved the knob-dial controls hidden under the door instead of push buttons. Then, the third gen...

Pros: Great entry level monitor, easy adjust controls, online support.
Cons: This thing is freakin' huge ... and heavy!
The Bottom Line: It's not the best monitor but it works fine for internet, emails and word processing. The graphics suck but if that not as issue, check out Gateway's EV700
Review: I have been dealing with the computer from hell
but I shouldn't say that too loudly or it might up and die on me again. I had a Dell monitor but got rid of it when I moved thinking that I'd just buy a new one. The Mag Innovision monitor ...

Pros: Good-sized viewable area, easy adjustments. Low price.
Cons: Weight. Slightly fuzzy display.
The Bottom Line: Good budget monitor, that performs well enough (as long as you don't expect too much). Excellent for it's price, though.
Review: Putting together computers for people allows me the opportunity to check out different products, now and again.
Recently, a friend asked me to obtain a Gateway 2000 EV 700 monitor for him. I had gotten him one last year, and he liked it and... |
