Tracker 4x4

by   sc00b3rt ,  Oct 5, 2002
Pros: dependable, great gas mileage, little repairs, great in the snow and off road.
Cons: Noisy on highway
The Bottom Line: Reliable trustworthy car. Little repairs, held up in accident.
Review: Well, ive owned my 1993 tracker since 1998. It was purchased used with 58,000 miles on it. I have taken it into the repair shop ONCE to get the clutch replaced at 90,000 miles. The vehicle has crossed the 120,000 mile mark and still runs great. I...

The best car I ever Owned

by   MarlaCCCSLP ,  Mar 25, 2000
Pros: Never gave me a problem for 136,000 miles!
Cons: Not comfortable, and very loud and bumpy - but it was built to be that way.
Review: In 1993 I bought my first new car. A Chevrolet Geo Tracker. This car cost me about $10,000, and was still going at 136,000 miles when I traded it in. For any teenager or someone just out of college, this is a car they should definitely consider.

Geo Trackers-Tough, Dependable, and Affordable

by   ariel3457 ,  Jan 1, 2001
Pros: Affordable, dependable, and low maintenance
Cons: Older ones do not have much room if you have a family and the 1993 Tracker is kind of noisy when traveling at speeds of 50 or more
Review: In 1996 we bought our first Geo Tracker. It was a 4 wheel drive, 1993, 2 door soft top kind. At first I hated it. Not because there was any thing wrong with it, but because it was a standard, and I had no idea how to drive it. Once I figured it out...

Good little car

by   edelbrok ,  Jul 24, 2002
Pros: Good gas mileage, fun, looks good, very low maintenance
Cons: Soft top a pain to put on and take off
The Bottom Line: Very fun little car, great on gas, love to have the top down, just don't forget to check the local weather first before venturing out with the top off.
Review: I bought a 1993 Geo Tracker the summer of 1999. It was a standard transmission, two wheel drive, soft top. My wife and I had so much fun with this little car, even being two wheel drive we still played in the mud and never got stuck. I had only a few...

Too Cool To Be On The Road

by   Tamara99 ,  Jul 11, 2000
Pros: It's a blast to drive
Cons: Recall on the rear axle & noisy due to the soft top.
Review: I bought my little Tracker in the spring of '93 - late in the season, so they weren't being manufactured anymore, and the prices were dropping because the '94's were soon to be out.

I got all of the extra features - alloy wheels, power...

Survived a roll over!

by   blknight ,  Dec 18, 1999
Pros: Easy to handle, affordable, rugged.
Cons: Shakes a little on an open highway when it is windy.
Review: When I went car shopping for a second vehicle I was looking for something to get me around town, back and forth to work and, if needed, the vehicle had to blaze a trail during the winters here in Western New York. I settled on a Tracker and 4 years...

Love my Tracker

by   taz669305 ,  Aug 20, 2004
Pros: Fun to drive, easy on gas. Lots of fun for the price.Reliable.
Cons: Ride is rough and hard to handle in high winds.
Review: Cool looking, very easy for customizing. Small enough to go or park anywhere. I would buy another one in a heartbeat. 4X4 goes almost anywhere. My son has taken it out in some of the muddiest and steepest hills he can find and has not been stuck yet. In ...

Stay away from the 2 wheels drive

by   doc99 ,  May 14, 2001
Pros: Easy to park anywhere, higher seating, nice look
Cons: Noisy, sensitive to wind, 2wd dangerous in winter condition
The Bottom Line: Avoid the 2wd if you live in an area where you might encounter snow. With the 4wd you'll get a reliable nice little SUV, but don't expect any comfort.
Review: I bought my 93 Tracker in early 1999. The main reasons I bought it was the nice look and the appeal of sitting higher (compare to a car).

I bought the 2 wheels drive. Since I never go offroad I thought the 4wd was not worth the price...

NEVER BUY THIS AUTOMOBILE

by   bassbunny21 ,  Mar 8, 2001
Pros: looks kinda cool
Cons: crunches like a tin can, piece of crap
The Bottom Line: this car may look very nice and be a lot of fun,but it is very dangerous.
Review: I thought I was the coolest thing when I got my Tracker. I bought it used when My old Honda Civic I had finally died after I dogged it for a few years. After a month or two the inside of it started falling apart. he vent covers fell off first then some...
