My New Baby

by   slydemann ,  Nov 1, 2002
Pros: Fantastic tone, comfortable, not too heavy, nice layout, great neck plays like a dream, beautiful!
Cons: no pickup covers included, sharp volume pointers, high fret access, somewhat expensive
The Bottom Line: It really delivers that solid sound of a Gibson, well balanced, practical, reliable, great control layout, not a heavy Les Paul, and she's sooooo purdy!
Review: When I strap this over my shoulder and look down it's like sitting in a 66 Corvette. I am ready to GO. I bought this guitar on Ebay about a month ago. Now that I'm getting well aquainted with her I'm ready to tell y'all about it.

Buying a...

Pros: Excellent Quality Design, Sound, Neck, Looks... Everything... Best Guitar Ever...
Cons: Expensive!
The Bottom Line: The Gibson Les Paul is probably the greatest guitar ever created... Need I say more?
Review: The Gibson Les Paul is one of the oldest electric guitars in the world. It is very popular, and has been used by some of the greatest musicians of all time. I have actually played a few different Les Pauls. My favorite are the custom Les Pauls that I...

A Guitar Shared By All of the Greatest Guitarist

by   xtremeskea ,  Feb 3, 2003
Pros: Pure Gibson Tone, Smooth neck, Customizable, Gold Hardware, Brass nut and Stop piece tail bar.
Cons: Price
The Bottom Line: Buy it and you will not be disappointed, I promise.
Review: This guitar is a true dream guitar, with a maple top and mahogany back gives this guitar great tone you would expect from a Gibson. The neck is made of a maple back with ebony finger board(also adding to the tone and playability). It also has the...

by   lpjunior ,  Mar 18, 2002

Review: MY HISTORY:
I have been playing guitar since I was 7 years old. My brother and I were asked to leave our guitar class because we picked up everything by ear faster than they could teach us to read. So, I left. And began a career with the guitar that...

It's a Heavyweight Alright!

by   rogerngaw ,  Mar 13, 2001
Pros: Great looks, sound & construction
Cons: Expensive
The Bottom Line: This has got to be the epitome of how an electric guitar should look & feel like. Sound may not be suitable for all songs/ playing styles.
Review: There are a lot of guitarists out there who opt for either a Strat or a Les Paul but not both. That's because these are radically different guitars. Chances are if you really like one of them, you'll not like the other.

Some very obvious...

The top of the line Les Paul Custom

by   uriahdeath ,  May 7, 2003
Pros: Sounds good, feels good, plays good, has excellent resale value.
Cons: Expensive
The Bottom Line: If you want a high quality very nice looking guitar that will hold it's value, here it is.
Review: What makes a Custom a Custom Plus? That nice piece of quilted maple for the top. Other then that, it's basicly the same as a newer Les Paul Custom, again, with the exception of the bookmatched figured maple top. They were discontinued in 1998. Mine is a...

Beautiful!!! That's all I can say...

by   Achmed_Shabazz ,  Oct 16, 2000
Pros: It plays like a dream....
Cons: It's too heavy. But since it plays so nicely, so get a comfy strap and quit whinning....It's a little expensive too, but worth it...
Review: This guitar plays amazingly....just like an extension of your body.
The mother of pearl inlays make bends and slides incredibly smooth and desirable. Rapid note changes are easy because the fret height is generally low and not much effort of force...

by   fulvio52 ,  Feb 10, 2006

Review: I bought my black Les Paul Custom 1972 second-hand way back in 1983 paying the equivalent of some $ 800, in Amsterdam. I love everything about it : it's a Fretless Wonder with a brass nut, ebony fretboards with in-laid mother of pearl and original PAF ...
