Pros: Filled with memorable stories and essays, Golf Dreams is ideal off-season reading.
Cons: "Farrell's Caddy" transcends sport, but other pieces might be too jargon filled for non-golfing readers.
The Bottom Line: Thirty short pieces of fiction and non-fiction all with John Updike's usual brilliance. But this might be too much golf for the less-than-devoted Updike fan or the non-golfing reader.
