This iTrip's For You

by   MattBjorke ,  Feb 19, 2006
Pros: Relitive ease of use, no batteries required, mostly plug-and-play.
Cons: falls off iPod easily, doesn't connect to ipods if there's a non-silicone case holding it.
The Bottom Line: Despite some minor complaints raised in the "cons" section, I am very happy with the iTrip. It served me well and it will serve iPod owning commuters just as well.
Review: OK. So now you have your iPod loaded with all your favorite tunes and drive to and from work everyday. How do you, then, make use of your iPod in your car without using headphones? Well, there’s a slew of options but the easiest one is probably ...

Road Trip Friend

by   bbbradk ,  Dec 24, 2007
Pros: Easy to use
Cons: Sound levels
The Bottom Line: Great addition to the ipod for travellers
Review: The ipod has been like a gift from the heavens! I commute to work on the subway every day, and prior to the ipod I carried a cd walkman back and forth to work, but when I discovered the ipod, and the thousands of songs I could pack into it, not to ...

ITrip: No More burning CDs.

by   mooshu2 ,  Mar 31, 2008
Pros: Works as advertised. Easy to use.
Cons: Inconsistant sound quality.
The Bottom Line: It is a good buy for those who really carry their IPODS with them or on the road alot.
Review: The ITrip was god send for my 22 hours road trip. I just did not want to burn several hundred CDs. It was a last minute purchase at Walmart right before my trip. The good: 1. The IT REALLY DOES WORK! It is very easy to use, just snap it to the ...

It's not as good as it sounds.

by   gragabelle ,  Mar 10, 2006
Pros: It's portable. Small. Shiny.
Cons: It's too expensive, it has TONS of static.
The Bottom Line: IF you have a cassette player buy the CD-tape adaptor and save yourself $40.
Review: So you're told that you can play your IPOD from ANY FM radio. Car, house, office etc. Wow. Fabulous, no headphones, all my friends can enjoy the music. Hold on to your headphones it's not that great of an item. The itrip for the 30gb-60gb photo/video ...

Too much static

by   thexfed ,  Mar 20, 2006
Pros: Small and compact
Cons: Static, Quality of music isn't the best, Cost ($50 at best buy)
Review: It's a nice idea for an iPod (I have an iPod nano), but I was disappointed with the sound quality and strength of the radio signal. I've used it in 2 different cars, and I no matter where I set my iPod in the car, I get static. Not a lot of static, but ...

Griffin iTrip fm radio transmitter for Apple iPod 30

by   patentpending ,  Dec 31, 2006
Pros: looks cool
Cons: bad sound quality, static, virtually useless
Review: Without a doubt, this is the worst product I have ever purchased. The fm signal it generates is so weak, that it is all but impossible for any fm radio to pick up. Even if you select a "clear" channel to transmit on, when the radio does pick up the ...

Works very poorly in urban areas

by   bill2001 ,  Mar 1, 2006
Pros: Nice styling. Probably good in outlying areas with few competing broadcasters.
Cons: Very low signal strength in cities. Good sound initially, but fades quickly and continuously.
Review: Radio stations 75 miles away were stronger than this unit's ability to transmit. Even after adjusting the iTrip to use a lower frequency (international instead of the factory-set North American) to get away from competing radio stations, the signal was ...

Garbage

by   budster1470 ,  Sep 12, 2006
Pros: Cool Looking........... That's it
Cons: Most of the time it don't power up. Not worth the money.
Review: I thought I would get this neat little device so I could listen to my tunes in the car. It powered up once and that's it. I contacted Griffin and they told me to re-boot my new Ipod. I did. 3 TIMES... nothing. I'm gonna just throw it ...

Was Not Music to My Ears!!!

by   rahneew ,  May 15, 2006
Pros: Small, Lightweight, docking compatible, LCD display, powered by iPod
Cons: Sound quality horrible, very limited transmit distance
Review: After researching FM transmitters I decided to buy the iTrip on a recent trip out of town. Its small size and price were very attractive. The fact that it also was digital was a plus as there was little chance of “drift” once locked onto a ...
