Excellent device - overall great value. Wif-Fi / Bluetooth, WM5 and FAST!!!!

by   foxmcf ,  Feb 18, 2006
Pros: Great overall value for your money, especially if you buy online.
Cons: Not SVGA, but I'm sure this helps the systems current performace! It's FAST!
The Bottom Line: This device suites me perfectly. I understand that everyone has their own needs, but this has everything I need plus more.
Review: I have searched and read at least 15 websites for reviews on this product, and was not surprised to see several of these web-sites with the same two people giving it a bad review. It's my experience that many people start using the device and critiquing ...

Nice SECURE device

by   scanman2174 ,  Feb 28, 2006
Pros: Very fast, great display, stylish.
Cons: The user manual is not the best. Look to the Web for answers to questions.
The Bottom Line: If you can get it for less than 400 It's well worth it. The deals are out there if you look hard enough.
Review: I've had "Palms" since the M100 series came out. This is my first Windows device and, I have to say, I'm pretty impressed. I have read about soft resets, "reboots" and spontaneous bouts of turning itself on (thereby draining the battery), but I can ...

Hewlett Packard iPAQ hx2795 Pocket PC

by   simeondawg ,  Oct 1, 2007
Pros: Expandability, dependability, user-friendly, excellent design, versatile, good size/weight
Cons: Can get bogged down when running many programs at once
The Bottom Line: Amazing product and very useful. If you are looking for a Pocket PC that will exceed your needs, this is the Pocket PC for you. Outstanding results!
Review: I spent about 3 months or so researching which Pocket PC would be right for me. I went with the HP brand because all my electronics are HP (my laptop computer, desktop computer, digital cameras, printers, etc). I have never had a problem with any of my ...

A good choice since it's the only choice

by   loomspah ,  Feb 6, 2008
Pros: Acceptable performance / looks for $500
Cons: Acceptable performance / looks for $500
Review: Dedicated PDAs are becoming obsolete these days but I had to buy one since it was a requirement for school. This PDA is built to be like a zippo lighter: you pay a lot of money for it, you baby it for a few days, and after a while you start to leave it ...

iPAQ hx2795 shipped with bad battery

by   mdmba ,  Sep 17, 2007
Pros: HP engineering
Cons: HP customer service
Review: Not only was it shipped with a bad battery, the screen is harder on my eyes than the Palm TX. So I asked HP to return it. So far I am just bumping into very time-consuming walls there and they are telling me too bad, 21 days is up! Seems like they're ...

If I could do it over, I would wait,,,

by   nlhenry ,  Jan 17, 2006
Pros: HP security (i.e. biometric fingerprint scanner). Good battery life.
Cons: Not very reliable; stalls, freezes and locks up.
The Bottom Line: Not recommended, could probably do better with something less expensive.
Review: I really don't want to give this product a bad review but I am not feeling very good about it. I was really looking forward to getting a pocket PC and this one seemed to have all the "bells and whistles." The processor speed, the available memory, the ...

Not mature enough - very bad tech support

by   farkl ,  Mar 6, 2006
Pros: Fingerprint reader, Fast processor, Feels rugged
Cons: Not stable! WiFi profile gets blown away randomly.
The Bottom Line: HP shipped this way to early. Check for updates before you buy!
Review: I work for a security company one of my jobs is to maintain our small fleet of Pocket PCs. Since the older pocket PC 2003 devices are now being phased out I needed to find a new Mobile 5.0 device for future purchases. I decided to purchase an IPAQ hx2795 ...

Do not buy this product

by   Audrey75 ,  Mar 15, 2006
Pros: Sleek and comes with cover, Familiar OS to most, Name Brand
Cons: Locks up, wipes data, networking issues
The Bottom Line: I will not be recommeding this unit. It has caused me hours of resetting, reconfiguring, calling helpdesk, and waiting for a replacement unit. Frustrating!
Review: I researched PDA platforms and decided to go with Windows because that was what I was most familiar with and it would allow for software platform upgrades. It was relatively easy to setup, the wireless was quite confusing. I had the unit for about three ...

Don't buy this!

by   kiloecho ,  Feb 1, 2006
Pros: The hard cover is nice; no need for a case.
Cons: Hardware glitch makes some of the 5.0 applications unusable.
The Bottom Line: Not recommended; hardware glitch does not function well with mobile 5.0.
Review: I have used iPaq PDAs since they first came out in the late 1990s. I decided to upgrade to my third iPaq; no reason to switch to another brand, or so I thought. I bought directly from hpshopping.com. However, Microsoft Reader, which used to come ...

Hewlett Packard 2795

by   scorpiovan1 ,  Jun 25, 2006
Pros: don't buy Hewlett Packard 2795
Cons: there is basically no warranty.
Review: Ever since I have purchased my Hewlett Packard 2795 I haven't been able to use it for a single day without resetting it over 10-15 times a day. It has been to warranty center three times already and it still has the same problem. t was a total waste ...
