I put an Infinity Basslink Powered Subwoofer in my 2005 Toyota Tacoma

by   phungus ,  Dec 29, 2008
Pros: Packs a bunch, easy to configure
Cons: Might be overkill for some people
The Bottom Line: If you are looking to add some kick to your car stereo, the Infinity Basslink will deliver.
Review: I drive a 2005 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck with the Access (extended) cab. Earlier this year, the factory stereo in it crapped out, and I replaced it with a pretty decent Kenwood brand MP3/CD player. I also upgraded the speakers in the back doors. Ever ...

So Awesome, I now have a Perma-Grin!

by   carey934 ,  Jul 1, 2004
Pros: Amp and Sub built together make the unit very compact Great price!
Cons: None!!!
The Bottom Line: If you're looking for bass that will move you at an affordable price that doesn't require ripping your car apart, this is for you!
Review: My stock stereo in my car died and I decided that rather than pay $250 for a new stock stereo, I'd spend $150 and get a Kenwood deck that played MP3's. Once I did, it seemed my sound quality was ruined. I lost most of my bass. So I swapped out my 6 1/2" ...

Outstanding subwoofer

by   adx200 ,  Mar 19, 2002
Pros: Extremely tight, powerful amplifier, excellent design.
Cons: Whether you like it will depend on your musical taste.
The Bottom Line: Totally recommended. It plays clean, deep, and tight while using up very little space. Also, the build quality and electronics are excellent.
Review: Ok, my review should weigh pretty heavily considering what this subwoofer has to overcome to be heard. I had it installed at Circuit City after hearing it in comparison to three models of Bazooka powered subwoofers in the store and in two installations....

Worth the extra bucks

by   bizz ,  Dec 14, 2002
Pros: Compact Design. Clean & Clear Bass
Cons: None
The Bottom Line: This is the best powered subwoofer in the market right now. The sound quality is fantastic, and it takes up little space.
Review: I first started looking for a subwoofer a little after I got my car and I just wanted more bass. I was looking at powered subwoofers, because I drive a small car (1999 Kia Sephia) and I wanted to still have room in my trunk for my snowboard, and my golf...

Extremely Impressive Bass, Great Value For The Money

by   kowrip ,  Jul 16, 2005
Pros: great bass, all in one unit, relatively inexpensive
Cons: time consuming installation, requires a separate wiring kit
The Bottom Line: Definitely consider this unit if you want strong, clean bass in a small and relatively inexpensive unit
Review: INTRO After I paid off my Jeep Grand Cherokee last year, I decided that I wanted a better sound system than the stock CD player and speakers. I wanted a head unit that could play MP3s and definitely wanted sound quality and bass. The problem was ...

Great All-Around Package

by   viss1 ,  Mar 9, 2004
Pros: Price, size, ease of installation
Cons: None
The Bottom Line: Easy to install, doesn't take up much space, and sounds great. A winner.
Review: I installed the Basslink into my '98 Ford Contour about a week ago. I purchased the unit for $185 from an eBay seller (why do retail outlets charge over $100 more?), and purchased a 10-gauge amp wiring kit from Crutchfield for about $25. Installation: ...

Infinity Basslink

by   Carroll_B ,  Dec 2, 2003
Pros: Great sound, small size, remote control, built-in crossover, good instruction manual.
Cons: none
The Bottom Line: If you want a small compact system, with a built-in amp that produces lots of clean bass, this is the system.
Review: I wanted a little more bass in the factory system of my S-10 extended cab pick-up. I'm in my late 50's and didn't need to be heard by the neighbors, just needed a little more low end bass. I didn't want to give up all the space behind the seats so the ...

A Great, Compact Addition to a Stock System!!!

by   mimestatic ,  Jun 27, 2004
Pros: Big bass in a small package, inexpensive, Infinity quality.
Cons: Installation instructions not dummy friendly.
The Bottom Line: If you only have a stock system right now, the Basslink is a very inexpensive way to add a huge kick to your listening experience.
Review: Installation: This was my first time attempting to install a piece of car audio equipment, and for someone with my lack of experience, it sure wasn't easy. The instructions that Infinity sends with the unit are confusing at best, and I had to do some ...

Bass...it's a good thing

by   mulefool13 ,  Mar 5, 2005
Pros: entry-level price for audiophile-quality bass! Great things DO come in small packages!
Cons: Evil instruction manual...tiny unmarked knobs, and an AWOL led light
The Bottom Line: about this rating...ease of use: in spite of the instructions! And, just got it! (durability) so, we will see! 1st impression is of high quality!
Review: Hey y'all... 1st: I really like this site! 2nd: This Infinity Basslinks is the biggest single reason why my 19 y/o car ROCKS! I'm a former rocker myself and feeling quite old these days, but that's another review (for Geritol). But, seriously...I was ...

Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy!

by   dc4bs ,  Nov 28, 2005
Pros: Small size, quality build, great sound output
Cons: Um... Nope!
The Bottom Line: Want solid bass but don't feel the need to annoy the neighbors with it? Want to keep your cargo area USABLE FOR CARGO? This is what you're looking for.
Review: I bought a new 2005 Blazer and within a few weeks replaced the double-din head unit with a Kenwood ddx8017, "Music Keg" and GPS system. All was well and good with the world but I noticed that the low end just wasn't getting there no matter how I set ...
