The Roadiem Write-Off: My 2000 Jeep Wrangler

by   sparkospunky ,  Apr 12, 2001
Pros: The ultimate machine!
Cons: Stiff ride
The Bottom Line: A great driving machine--maintenance should be minimal because it's a very simply constructed vehicle
Review: This review is my submission to the write-off in honor of my friend, Roadiem, who was otherwise known to his friends, family and all who loved him as Michael J. Lambert. Those of you who knew Roadiem know that his passions were automobiles, photography...

Almost three months ago my mighty mini-wagon ('93 Cavalier) bit the dust. Since then I’ve been on the search for a new vehicle, trying to decide what direction I wanted to go. I wanted something that I would actually like, but...

Freedom...America...Jeep. There's only one.

by   tsongas ,  Jan 9, 2001
Pros: freedom
Cons: gas mileage
Review: The history of the Wrangler has been well documented in other opinions, so I will not recap it here. I do recommend, however, that anyone shopping for a new Jeep reads 'Doccers' account of the storied past of this great vehicle.

I fell in love...

Soft Top or Hard Top? Three Things You Should Consider Before Deciding

by   flaone ,  Dec 5, 1999
Pros: Hard Top: Better climate protection, more durable. Soft Top: Easier to manipulate, cheaper to replace
Cons: Hard Top: Difficult to remove, costly to replace Soft top: Noisy, less sturdy
Review: There's no doubt about it: The Jeep Wrangler and its 70's predecessors are the ultimate "fun in the sun vehicles." But before running to the lot and singing on the bottom line, here are a few things you might want to consider.
1. Which...

Pros: It's the perfect vehicle for a single guy
Cons: You won't be single long if you drive one.
The Bottom Line: JEEPS rule! on the beach, in the mud, in the snow, and on the road. It's good to rule. Join the club
