Koss proves that good sound doesn't have to cost a fortune.

by   Ahab1973 , top reviewer in Electronics at Epinions.com ,  Aug 10, 2003
Pros: Very decent sound quality - little to no sound leakage - value
Cons: Not well suited for those who demand excellent sound quality.
The Bottom Line: Frustrated with the el-cheapo phones that usually sell for $30? Koss has a solution.
Review: If you&'re one of my fellow apartment dwellers, you know what it feels like to want to crank up your tunes without disturbing your neighbors. Headphones seem like the perfect solution, right? Well, yes and no. There are many different brands, sizes and ...

Cheap, Good, and Portable

by   bjamin2002 ,  Jul 2, 2001
Pros: Portable and Great Sound
Cons: Maybe the ear cushions are too large for some people
The Bottom Line: Great sound and features for a great price
Review: These are really good headphones. I bought them at Best Buy for a little under $30. What makes them great is the way they fold up into a nice little package. The ear cushions are HUGE, covering the entire ear. They are closed headphones, and barely...

A good pair of cheap closed headphones!

by   LetItRut ,  Sep 24, 2001
Pros: Very comfortable, decent sound quality
Cons: Not as accurate as more expensive headphones
The Bottom Line: The Koss UR-30 - and its cheaper sibling, the UR-20 - are among the best closed headphones for under $40.
Review: The Koss UR-30 is a full-size closed headphone with circumaural (around-the-ear) “pleather” pads. Frequency response is 18-20,000 Hz. It features a single-sided 8-foot-long cord that attaches at only the left earpiece and is terminated to a gold-plated...

The Bottom Line: i would for sure buy these if you have an extra 30 dollars around.

Pretty good headphones for a pretty good price

by   leshrac55 ,  May 5, 2001
Pros: Cheap, fairly comfortable, decent sound, closed and circumaural
Cons: Bass gets a little muddy sometimes, slightly "sonically" fatiguing.
The Bottom Line: I haven't used that many headphones, but as an average music lover, these phones definitely sound good.
Review: I'm no Headphone expert by any means, but I went back on forth on many headphones before finally settling on these. I plugged them in and was pleasantly surprised by the experience. Most of the songs I put them through sounded excellent, with only a...
