More power that an Atomic Bomb

by   vandalz ,  Nov 7, 2001
Pros: Very powerful for its' size, and will rock your world
Cons: Can get hot, but this can be fixed using a good amplifier fan
The Bottom Line: Competition Level, Competition Level, Competition Level - Wins = Wins = Wins
Review: Being a part of the Car Stereo Competition scene, and being an ex-IASCA competitor, I have an idea of what it takes to win a competition. As most of you all know it will probably have to be the power that pushes the system.

At first I was...

Cheap power

by   rfman ,  Jul 10, 2002
Pros: Lots of power, 1.3-ohm stability, rather inexpensive
Cons: Gain and filter controls are not linear, rather plain-looking
The Bottom Line: If you need powerful sound on a low budget and don't mind tweaking controls for a little bit, this is a good amp to get.
Review: Very few people would believe that it's possible to but a 1200-watt amplifier for 279$. The first reaction for most people (myself included), is to think that the 1200 watt is an inflated peak power rating, not a true RMS rating.

Well, Lanzar...

Sceptical about the hook up

by   vluvy69 ,  Aug 23, 2003
Pros: Very powerful amp. Gots nice wiring hook ups just like the name brand amps.
Cons: Ugly amp. Good thing it is in the trunk. Gets hot
The Bottom Line: Very ugly amp. Nice sound when tweaked. I would recommend this amp. Need a good tweaking ear to get good sound.
Review: I was a little sceptical about hooking up this amp. My F-150 truck has two zeus hifonics amps poweri ...

143.5 Db's @ 2 ohms with two AW1205's in a sealed box

by   audiobahninc ,  Feb 5, 2003
Pros: 90 amp draw 1 ohm stable class D 80 percent efficient
Cons: lack of features
The Bottom Line: It was one of the first class D amps on the scene and its been copyed by numerous companys for a reason, its good
Review: I ran this amp in my comp vehicle for a period of about 6 months. I have two audiobahn ultra excursion 12's that can truly handle 1000 watts RMS a peice and I have a sealed box behind the seat of a single cab truck, so im automaticaly at a Db...

Too good to be true? Perhaps...

by   dipitydoo ,  Feb 24, 2002
Pros: Tons of power, remote bass level control, subsonic filter, price, efficiency
Cons: reliability issues
The Bottom Line: Awesome power, unbeatable price, lots of great features, and unfortunately, bad reliability history.
Review: The Lanzar Vibe 1200d is a class D amplifier, a new breed of efficient amps generally designed to drive low frequency drivers. The Vibe series is the entry level line from Lanzar. It is a single channel amp rated at 250w at 4 ohm, 500w at 2 ohm and...

Great power, but...?

by   n2audio ,  Mar 5, 2002
Pros: Excellent power/$ ratio, small footprint, captive style terminals
Cons: Durability concerns
The Bottom Line: Great power, but do you want to risk returns/warranty service?
Review: I originally ordered my 1200D from sounddomain for great price of $225. The amp looks great, installed easliy, and even performed well. However, the amp stopped working on the 2nd day of use. It was obvious the amp had a problem internally so I sent...

A little misleading.

by   hyper_lyte ,  May 10, 2002
Pros: It is a neat looking amp.
Cons: Looks can be misleading.
The Bottom Line: I am sorry to say but I am warning you to stray away from the amps.
Review: I have never found a brand that i just didn't like except for this one. It is a neat looking amp, but other than that I couldn't find anything good about it. First of all it was rated at 1000 watts, but the truth was that it would not even push a 500...
