Link's Awakening: A Sleeper Hit for the Original Gameboy |
|||
|
Pros: decent graphics, classic Zelda gameplay
Cons: perhaps a little too easy, switching items
The Bottom Line: This game makes my top 10 favorite gameboy games ever.
Review: Thank You Nintendo For Backwards Compatibility! First and foremost I must thank the Nintendo, specifically the design engineers for making the Gameboy Advance compatible with all the older Gameboy games. Without it, I might have had to choose ...

Pros: Classic Zelda gameplay, one of the best Game Boy games ever.
Cons: Item switching a little annoying, a couple tough to acquire secrets.
The Bottom Line: If you are a Zelda fan, a fan of action/RPG's, or just into great games, then you'll want to pick this game up.
Review: Quick Facts: The Legend of Zelda: Links Awakening for Game Boy Color. (Also will work on Gameboy and Game Boy Advance). About $10 at the time of this writing, 1 player. Released by Nintendo in 1993, rated E for everyone. ...

Great in any season! Capcom and Nintendo team up to create a masterpiece. |
|||
|
Pros: Good graphics and music with all new seasonal gameplay.
Cons: Switching items every so often gets on the nerves.
The Bottom Line: Read the review instead of this.
Review: ZELDA: Oracle of Seasons (Nintendo/Capcom, May 2001) It's always great when another Legend of Zelda game comes along but this new Zelda is one half of a two set series created by Capcom (from Mega Man, Side Arms, and Resident Evil fame) ...

Pros: Perfect
Cons: Sometimes a bit hard
The Bottom Line: You've got perfect gameplay, superb graphics, tons of secrets, an original story, how much better does it get? Well it's a Zelda game!!!
Review: The Zelda series will always be one of the greatest gaming series of all time. It has stood the test of time, and gained much respect. However, for one system, the Game Boy Color, the Oracle games will be the last. Not only will they be the last Zelda...

Pros: Extremely playable, well-balanced gameplay. Captivating, perfectly paced and pure Zelda goodness.
Cons: None.
The Bottom Line: No Gameboy library is complete without this game. No Zelda collection is complete without this game. Anyone into gaming must play this.
Review: As a first generation gamer, Zelda holds a special place in my gaming memories. The first one, which many consider to be the best, showed the potential gaming had as a valid entertainment medium early on.
Successive installments (with the... |

Pros: Everything
Cons: Just about nothing, except that it might be a little hard.
Review: NOTE: This is an edited opinion. My original opinion was one of my first, and going back to look at it, I could summerize it in two words: it sucked. So I've givin it a MAJOR facelift (four pages worth of facelift), and this one, needless to say,...

Pros: to many to mention
Cons: switching items, my dead social life
The Bottom Line: rest in peace social life I hardly knew ye.
Review: what is Nintendo trying to do kill my social life. Nintendo and Capcom has released two Zelda games at once, this is very rare seeing how it usually takes about 3 years to make one Zelda game, and I am still just getting past Majora's mask. Well anyway...

|
Pros: Colorful, challenging, immense replay value, best GameBoy game ever made
Cons: Switching items is incredibly tedious
The Bottom Line: The Oracle Games are two of the most involving and engaging Zelda games ever released, and they make a fine addition to a long lineage of excellence.
Review: First off, let me just say that if you have the least bit of interest in Zelda games, I want you to go to your nearest store and buy this game right now. You will not, under any circumstances, be disappointed. This game delivers the goods on virtually...

Zelda's absent, but everything else is here |
|||
|
Pros: Strong Zelda game, great graphics, best execution of the concept to date
Cons: Outside of the traditional Zelda storyline
Review: Perhaps the greatest series in the history of video gaming is The Legend of Zelda. While the Mario games have been light fare, and most other franchaises have either been consistently good or alternate between amazing and horrible, Zelda has always...
