Cons: bad d-pad and hard to program joysticks on older games only

by   krial ,  Mar 28, 2004
Pros: Comfortable, fully featured controller, and the Logitech Profiler software is great
Cons: No force feedback, directional pad can't be used with many games
The Bottom Line: A great game pad for most purposes, and it don't cost an arm and a leg. Lots of features, Profiler software.. great controller.
Review: Introduction. After having tried a couple of bargain priced game pads, and not really finding what I was looking for, I decided to check out Logitech's Dual Action game pad. It was only twenty dollars, and it looked like a decent ...

Pros: Great feel to controller, buttons are placed well, great software, low price, very durable
Cons: No Rumble feature, hard finding game profiles on net
The Bottom Line: Best Bet if not willing to spend more than $20. No rumble feature, but otherwise this mimics PS2 controller flawlessly.

Pros: makes video games easier to play and more fun
Cons: none
The Bottom Line: Great game pad for a great price. Value.
Review: I have owned about 4 of these Logitech Dual Action USB game pads. Not because they keep breaking, but because I give them away to people who use mine and want one of their own. The game pad's shape fits easily into your hands. The feeling is very ...

Not so bad

by   pabucksguy ,  Mar 13, 2007
Pros: cheap, works well with newer games
Cons: no force feedback
The Bottom Line: A good buy if you do not want to spend a fortune
Review: It amazes me how many negative reviews there are about this device. It is true that it is an inexpensive device and there are better ones out there, but I have not experience many of the problems that people are complaining about. It is possible that ...

No problem yet

by   jgoemat ,  May 26, 2005
Pros: Good control, works like PS2 controller
Cons: Haven't seen any yet
Review: This controller works great. I have had a couple crappy game pads before, this one is the only one that hasn't disappointed me. Other reviewers have complained that it is unreliable, but I can't comment as I've only had it a few weeks. It has done a ...

Very good controller

by   clemsonu88 ,  Oct 4, 2006
Pros: Feels great, Programs easily to be similar to Halo/Halo2, Very responsive, Inexpensive
Cons: Right stick is too sensitive when aiming or shooting.
The Bottom Line: I recommend it for Call of Duty 2. It isn't perfect for shooting, but it's adequate and is superior to the keyboard.
Review: I've only played one game with this controller, Call of Duty 2, and the controller is excellent with one very important exception. First, the good I configured this gamepad to be just like a controller for the XBox when playing Halo/Halo2. ...

Starts Out Great... Ends Up Not So Great

by   jcs83md ,  Jan 17, 2004
Pros: Inexpensive, Perfect feel and control, USB
Cons: Serious analog stick problem
The Bottom Line: You should probably stay away from this controller because of its serious design flaw regarding the analog stick.
Review: As soon as I saw the likeness to a Playstation 2 controller, and the friendly $20 price tag.. I knew I had to get this product. The Basics The controller is almost an exact replica of a Playstation 2 controller. It feels great, button ...

An okay, basic pad

by   PeteChin88 ,  Dec 25, 2003
Pros: Recognized by MacMAME v.77
Cons: Recognized by almost nothing else, no turbo/autofire
Review: Picked this up at Circuit City for $14.99.. It's kind of light, and its USB cable is thin, but I like that as it allows for more freedom of movement. If you have a first generation Playstation controller, it's pretty much a clone of that. Reviewing ...

PS2 controller for the PC

by   nad_masters , top reviewer in Computer Hardware at Epinions.com ,  Oct 29, 2003
Pros: Familar layout and feel, sturdy construction, highly programable via Profiler
Cons: Does not interpret programed presses correctly, D-pad does not work correctly, & alot more
The Bottom Line: Good for console-based games that work best with analog sticks. Not for D-Pad games or emulators.
Review: I was looking at this at Best Buy, thinking "this looks perfect for my collection of emulators and emulated games". It was on display for quite a while, but we rarely get it in stock! So when I saw one sitting there all nicely boxed up, I had to jump on ...
