Inspired madness

by   captaind , top reviewer in Movies at Epinions.com ,  Mar 1, 2004
Pros: Characters, humour, SFX, pretty much everything - far better than I was expecting
Cons: If you have no sense of humour, you won't laugh. At anything. Including this.
The Bottom Line: Probably the best animation-live action film to date. Move over Roger Rabbit, here's Bugs Bunny...
Review: Finally, Third World Britain gets to see Loony Tunes: Back In Action. And even more finally, backwards old me gets his sorry butt off to the cinema in order to view, perchance to review. Er… okay, the less I talk like that the ...

Get Ready for a Looney Good Time

by   carstairs38 ,  Oct 5, 2006
Pros: Just about everything
Cons: None worth mentioning
The Bottom Line: This is a movie to watch when you are in a silly mood. If you are looking for anything serious, you'll be disappointed.
Review: Looney Tunes: Back in Action is set in a world where humans and cartoon characters exist side by side. Instead of treating the Looney Tunes characters as characters like Space Jam did, this movie presents them as the actors who have played ...

The funniest comedy I've seen in a while

by   furious freddy ,  Nov 15, 2003
Pros: Gags, story, animation, blending of live action and animation
Cons: Brendan Fraser misses his mark a few times...
The Bottom Line: This is the film to see this Thanksgiving...something for young and old alike.
Review: The “Looney Tunes” and “Merrie Melodies” shorts subjects of Warner Bros.’s “Termite Terrace” cartoon studio have been a part of our nation's collective consciousness for the last 70 years. Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, and all the rest are well know ...

Mighty sporting of the little black duck (and friends)

by   SKAD13 ,  Nov 8, 2003
Pros: The Looney Tunes sensibility admirably stretched to feature length
Cons: Steve Martin is hammier than the cartoon characters
The Bottom Line: Funnier than most of this year's live-action comedies put together
Review: At last, those tired spy-movie spoofs are right where they belong--right in the middle of a Looney Tunes cartoon. I wouldn't have thought that the sensibilities of a seven-minute cartoon could be stretched to feature length as well as in Looney Tune ...

Awesome fun!

by   cathexis ,  Jan 14, 2004
Pros: No scatological references! Good clean child friendly fun that adults will enjoy it too!
Cons: Your children may drive you nuts with their impressions of their favorite Looney Tunes character!
Review: Those who went to see Cat in the Hat instead of Looney Tunes: Back in Action really missed a good bet this holiday season! LT:BIA was a riot! This was Bugs & Daffy at their best.... sarcastic, outrageous, and all that you've come to expect from Looney ...

Old style hilarity

by   perceptor_uca ,  Dec 7, 2003
Pros: Steve Martin, slapstick, irreverent but clean humor.
Cons: Too short.
Review: If you ever enjoyed Looney Tunes, you will enjoy this movie. The movie holds nothing back in poking fun at everything from politically corrected characters, Hollywood executives, and product placement. Children will enjoy the slapstick stylings of ...

Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck Are Back in Looney Tunes: Back in Action

by   dragonfire88 , top reviewer in Movies at Epinions.com ,  Nov 17, 2003
Pros: It's Looney Tunes. Trailer for third Harry Potter movie.
Cons: Some characters didn't get enough screen time or were left out completely.
The Bottom Line: Looney Tunes: Back in Action was a little silly, but it was entertaining. It is a must see for fans of the Looney Tunes, especially Bugs and Daffy.
Review: When I was growing up, I loved watching Looney Tunes cartoons. As I got older, I kept my love for the characters and even started collecting Looney Tunes items. I have glasses, kitchen items, key chains, small figures, and many stuffed characters, ...

Looney for Looney Tunes

by   cntaur5 ,  Nov 15, 2003
Pros: Funny chemistry of the classic Warner Bros. characters.
Cons: Some of the scenes may be a bit racy for younger children.
The Bottom Line: What I enjoyed most was watching my 8 year-old daughter, laugh at something that brought me enjoyment when I was a kid.
Review: Do the 2003 moviegoers remember American cartoon anime when CBS first showed Mighty Mouse, on Saturday mornings in 1955? What about the 1960's when ABC, CBS and NBC rocked the Saturday morning airwaves with tons of cartoons? Like most other forms of ente ...

You're despicable. Looney Tunes are back!

by   flamepillar , top reviewer in Movies at Epinions.com ,  Nov 15, 2003
Pros: No fancy CGI crap, countless references to the old cartoons.
Cons: Some things you've seen one too many times.
The Bottom Line: The Looney Tunes are back in action, and I feel like a kid again! Kind of feels stupid actually, but I'm sure that's just my problem.
Review: You just can't go wrong with the Looney Tunes. Folks like myself grew up on the Looney Tunes, while our sisters grew up on Walt Disney. And sure, crossovers happened, but when it came to slapstick humor, WB owned. Looney Tunes: Back in Action ...

What's Up, Duck?

by   Bryan_Carey ,  May 8, 2004
Pros: Very fast- paced; Keeps your attention; Great animation
Cons: Plot is a little silly
The Bottom Line: This is a fun and entertaining film that moves fast and keeps you laughing with that old Looney Tunes humor.
Review: The Looney Tunes series are my favorite among all the animated classics. Having been weaned on Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Sylvester, Tweety, Yosemite Sam, and the other characters since birth, I have always enjoyed watching Looney Tunes, even when the ...
