Pros: * Elevates legs to relieve pressure on lower back
* Durable Cons: * None
The Bottom Line: This is a critical piece of breastfeeding "gear" since it enables moms to maintain proper posture and avoid back/leg strain.
Review: I successfully nursed my first daughter for over a year with the help of a great lactation consultant, the loving support of my husband (who would fetch water and feed me while I nursed), and two essential breastfeeding items: my ...

Pros: Makes nursing in a chair much more comfortable
Cons: None
The Bottom Line: A nursing stool is a blessing to a nursing mom's back!
Review: The Medela Nursing Stool is a great gift for a new nursing mom. It allows a mom to nurse in comfort, by tipping her knees up slightly. This provides support for her lower back while nursing and also has the added advantage of bringing a nursing ...

Pros: Properly positions body, easy to assemble, worth it's weight in gold!
Cons: None
The Bottom Line: Highly recommended, even if you already have an ottoman.
Review: The Medela Nursing Stool was a fabulous addition to my traditional, oak rocking chair. It is solid wood, with rubber-like feet, and is very stable. Shallow grooves run horizontally across the top, which prevent your feet from slipping while readjusting ...

Pros: Perfect to relieve back pain while nursing, neutral colors
Cons: Not very versatile.
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this to any nursing mom, especially if prone to back pain!
Review: When my husband and I decided that I would nurse our baby, we didn't want to buy a lot of gadgets. We did buy a boppy, but other than that, we didn't have much else when my son was born. My son ended up being an all day marathon nurser! For the first ...

Pros: Not too expensive, easy to use, comfortable.
Cons: Not a stepstool, can be a trip hazard in the middle of the floor.
The Bottom Line: If you think you'll benefit from this, you are probably right. If you think you don't need it, you're probably right.
Review: I wasnt sure I needed this nursing stool, so I waited until my daughter was a few months old to use it. As a caveat, I had difficulty nursing her comfortably physiologically until I took her to a chiropractor when she was about 3 months old due to some ...

Pros: Relaxing
Cons: Has to be put together
The Bottom Line: Buy for the ease and comfort when feeding your baby!
Review: I'm the mother of six children, and nursed my first 4. I always remember preparing a comfortable place to nurse, where my back didn't ache, and my feet could touch the ground.
When I had my 6th child he was born 7 weeks early. My visits to him in... |

Pros: Sturdy, easy to assemble, affordable
Cons: None
Review: I bought a rocking chair during my pregnancy, but couldn't afford the ottoman. After doing some research, I found out ottomans can be tricky when nursing anyway. This nursing stool helps a lot, allowing for better control of the rocking motion and ...

Pros: Easy to assemble, durable, blends nicely to most decor.
Cons: None.
Review: This is very nice to have to help position the baby and give mamma the proper back support and alignment. It is easy to assemble and fits in with most decor in the home. Even if one does not breastfeed, it's still a nice addition to have as a support ...

Pros: Helps keep body in proper position for nursing, helps ease back strain and achey feet
Cons: Pricey somewhat, may be hard to locate in a shop.
Review: I was given this by my mother-in-law and let me tell you, it's wonderful. It's best used if you're in a regular chair or a rocking chair....I've tried using it in my way-too-soft couch and it dosn't really help. This really does help ease ...
