Great to learn to keep in shape!

by   Zpider ,  Jul 17, 2000
Pros: Great articles with description.
Cons: I wish they would send 3 or 4 a month!
Review: I may be young, but I like to work out. I didn't exactly know what to do except, pick up a dumbell and start lifting. I got a couple of magazines like this one before, but they didn't thoroughly explain how and what areas the workout target. This one I...

Men's Workout Keeps It Simple

by   keithpruitt ,  Apr 2, 2000
Pros: Great visualization of all exercises
Cons: Contains adult video ads
Review: Most in the competitive world of men's fitness magazines down grade Men's Workout as little more than porn taken to another level. While there is some truth in the comment with the sensual ads for gay porn included in the magazine, I have been a reader...

When your up your up

by   rcooke22 ,  Aug 2, 2003
Pros: Inspires
Cons: Depressing
The Bottom Line: Gay inspiration - straight mens voice of denial
Review: Mens Workout clearly has its place but perhaps need to decide who it's principal audience is. The g ...

Only Fitness Please

by   mikedogg195 ,  Jul 2, 2000
Pros: motivation in staying fit
Cons: gay ads galore
Review: Yes, i like to sit around , watch television, and stock up on junk food. I can't let myself fall to a point of no return. The women rely on my 6-pack, so i use this magazine as a inspiration to work harder.

Even though it only comes out 8...

Men

by   jceowoodard ,  Mar 21, 2006
Pros: pretty boys, inspiration
Cons: typical models, eight times a year
Review: I do enjoy the pics... although the models are typical, wearing cheesy outfits revealing happy trails and bulges, the poses are too stiff and just O-so white American, very gay white boy appealing... I read the articles and learn a little ...

The Jury is Still Out

by   SAEGOOSE ,  Jun 16, 2000
Pros: basic information for beginners, sporadic, quality abdominal training routines
Cons: elementary content and pictures look as though they are from a gay porn magazine
Review: I'm not entirely sure how I feel about Men's Workout. I received on issue as a gift and it contained an amazing ab routine. I find some of the articles informative, but many of the workouts are tired and cliche. For beginners, the workout laid out...

Men...minus the workouts.

by   chicknyell ,  Jul 2, 2000
Pros: easy for "newbies," lots of pictures
Cons: very basic principles, not really a "workout" magazine
Review: Go to your local book store or grocery store and check out the magazine section. You will probably find several magazines devoted to fitness, particularly working out. These magazines, such as Muscle and Fitness, Muscle Media, Muscle Mag and...

Who were some of the great strength men of old?

by   mrsillinois96 ,  Oct 25, 2000
Pros: Idea is good for a Men's Workout Mag.
Cons: Does not have the implantation that I like to read.
Review: If you are a man that loves to look at photographs of other men that are in shape then this is right up your alley. Men's Workout monthly is completely filled up with ripped bodies of men that will make you want to look just like them ..... Or will...
