The most awful warranty support I have ever experienced.

by   scuba_steve30 ,  Jan 16, 2003
Pros: Great picture, great price
Cons: no warranty support from Mitsubishi
The Bottom Line: If you only watch certain channels for 2 hours a day this is the set for you. If not steer clear of this one
Review: I have had this TV in my living room for 3 months and now there are channel logos burned into the screen. I have paid attention to how long I view channels that contain static images (station ID logos, video game images). And now the station ID logos are...

poor color and grainy picture

by   hdtvme ,  Jan 31, 2004
Pros: HDTV, enough inputs, screen formats 16:9, 4:3...etc,PIP/POP options, nice sounding speakers(nice not great).
Cons: Just hoping that my set was defective so there can be no cons.
The Bottom Line: I'll let you know as soon as my new one arrives.
Review: I purchased this TV brand new from Andersons and it arrived while I was still at work. I couldn't wait to get home and try it. Boy was I ever so disappointed. The picture on my old toshiba 50 in. projection TV blows this one away. My first chance to ...

Impressive

by   jedo1507r ,  Jul 8, 2005
Pros: CRT rear-projection method
Audio quality
High Definition monitor
Cons: Soft picture quality
Full-range speaker setup
Bland, inoffensive styling
The Bottom Line: Discontinued. The set works well and satisfies even with some shortcomings.
Review: I have had this rear-projection television for over two years now. So far, I'm impressed with the quality of the set. I purchased this set as a demo model at a local store. I was impressed with the design, since it did not stand out as much as other ...

by   lotty_otty ,  Dec 18, 2003
Pros: none
Cons: none
Review: A couple of things to let you know in regards to a previous review (Wow, That is a Huge TV!) is that the chair actually does cost about 3 hundred dollars(i work for best buy) and i remember that deal. Also when getting a tv or any kind of electronics is ...

I love my new tv.

by   tbdallas ,  Jul 25, 2003
Pros: Low price, high quality, clean design, and easy to use.
Cons: Shorter life-span of rear-projection.
The Bottom Line: There are fancier and bigger models out there, but for the price difference and for the shorter life-span of rear projection tv's, this model is worth every penny.
Review: On a whim I started looking at wide screen tv's. I knew that the nice plasma tv's were WAY out of m ...

Wow, That is a Huge TV!

by   skspillman ,  Aug 4, 2003
Pros: Never see the black bars of letterboxing again!
Cons: So far, two service issues (with Best Buy)
The Bottom Line: Awesome wide-screen projection television--hard to remember viewing DVDs and television any other way!
Review: At least, that's what everyone who comes over to our place says now that our 55" Mitsubishi WS projection television is the centerpiece of our home entertainment system. Why choose Mitsubishi? My husband and I had been looking for a big-screen ...

Good Television, good price

by   hugh2 ,  Dec 11, 2002
Pros: Simple to hook up and operate
Cons: Not used to watching NTSC broadcasts stretched out to fit the widescreen format
The Bottom Line: Inexpensive, great brand, easy to use and setup.
Review: My 7 year old 4x3 large screen bit the dust, so I decided to jump on the widescreen, HDTV ready bandwagon. I purchased my Mitsubishi WS-55311 at Ultimate Electronics for it's price and upgradeability features. Also it's 64 point convergence adjustment...
