Montecristo #2 (Cuba)

by   tg81182 ,  Mar 29, 2004
Pros: flavor,strength,taste,quality
Cons: availability in the US
The Bottom Line: A must for the serious cigar smoker.
Review: Montecristo #2 (Cuba) First Impressions A figurado, beautiful brown in color, with a rough, toothy wrapper. This beauty is very heavy in the hand, and has a strong and pleasant pre-light aroma. Constructed masterfully, these cigars are dense and ...

Better Than Expected

by   litedave ,  Mar 30, 2003
Pros: Exquisite flavor
Cons: None
The Bottom Line: A great stogie that one must experience.
Review: Succulent, complex flavors. Not a cheap smoke, but worth the experience. A medium body flavor that lasts to the end. Impressive aroma. A very good long relaxing smoke that can be enjoyed with a cabernet on a weekend afternoon. Really enjoyed this smoke...

Exquisite perfection!

by   topher34 ,  Jul 29, 2000
Pros: Silky smooth wrapper, wonderful flavor, torpedo construction is as close to perfect as I've seen.
Cons: A little pricey, can't afford to smoke one every day.
The Bottom Line: This is a fantastic cigar that must be experienced to believe how good it really is. If I could only stock one cigar in my humidor, this would be it.
Review: Construction

I recently had the opportunity to try my first Montecristo torpedo. I knew going into this one that I was in for a very special treat, but it was even better than I had imagined! The draw was perfect and the construction...

Class with a touch of Suave

by   Kragie ,  Apr 6, 2000
Pros: clean burn, sweet taste, mild bite, cheap, and torpedo
Cons: I just can't think of one.
Review: I was in Las Vegas for a convention, and in the lobby was a cigar lady. I was at the WWD MAgic Show, and I was attacked by the cigar lady. She saw me puffing on a Macanudo Robust, and she knew I would pay some bucks for a good cigar. She tried to get...

Review: I just started getting into cuban cigars. In fact i am a non-smoker! cant figure myself out but i am intrigued (sp) by these things.

tx4x4

by   tx4x4 ,  Apr 1, 2000
Pros: excellent quality, overall construction, consistency, powerful flavors
Cons: high price, lacks major complexity
Review: I first bought a Montecristo No. 2 at the urging of my local tobacconist. After looking at the $12 price I thought he was simply trying to rip me off, but then I went ahead and bought one to give it a try. After it was all said and done, I realized the...
