Perfect for Hunting or Road Trips

by   Ang27mom ,  May 9, 2000
Pros: Small and clear sounding
Cons: Only goes 2 miles, would be nice if it went further
Review: My husband and I recently purchased two of these motorola Talkabouts as gifts for his father and his father's girlfriend. They are two very hard to buy for people and when we came across this product, we knew it would be perfect for these two outdoors...

Motorolla sure gave us something to TALKABOUT!

by   kat9000 ,  Apr 10, 2000
Pros: Great tools for everyday situations
Cons: They eat batteries fairly quick
Review: We purchase our Talkabouts when they were pretty new on the market. At first I laughed. $250 to talk to each other? However, now I have seen the light.
The Talkabouts work in almost any setting. When traveling with a group, they work car to...

You can't do better than this!!!!

by   Gman286 ,  May 11, 2000
Pros: Clarity, range, size.
Cons: No scan button.
Review: The Motorola Talkabout 200 is one of the best 2-way radios around. It is palm-sized but it acts like the high quality radio's that cost more than $500!!! The 2 mile range actually does work for 2 miles all around. I live near New York City, and when...

Go for the 250!

by   muj8070 ,  Aug 8, 2000
Pros: clear communication, distance
Cons: none
Review: Either the 200 or 250 is fine, but if both are about the same price, go for the 250 model.

The Motorola Talkabout 200 and 250 are relatively the same radio with very little difference both in features and in price. (Talkabout 250 has a channel...

Talkabout 200 - poor transmission

by   george5120 ,  Mar 9, 2001
Pros: It cost only $50 at Price Costco.
Cons: Its claimed range of up to 2 miles is way overstated.
The Bottom Line: Either save your money, until you can afford something better, or don't buy any radio at all. The Talkabout 200 is not worth owning. It is a toy.
Review: I was influenced to recently purchase a pair of Talkabout 200, two-way radios. I was largely influenced by positive reviews on it here at epinions.com, plus the fact Price Coscto sells them for only $50, which is half of what people are paying elsewhere....
