Ascent vs. Classic

Pros: Modular based on conditions, quick and easy to put on and take off.
Cons: Noisy on hard snow, no limit on boot position
The Bottom Line: Great snowshoes, but the Classics are a better value for most people.
Review: I have used the Denali Classic for a couple of years and was wondering what the difference was between the Classics and the top of the line Ascents. In looking at the web pages it was very hard to tell what the difference was, other than the ascender....

Great until they break...

Pros: good traction, easy binding system, versatility w/ tails
Cons: they break, made for kids, not adults with packs
The Bottom Line: Avoid this shoe unless you are around 100 lbs and never snowshoe with a pack.
Review: They are great while they work...mine broke recently. I've had a pair of these for about 5 years. I use them for maybe 2 or 3 trips a season. I'm about 185lb and sometimes cary about a 50 lb pack. Recently on a backcountry trip the binding completely ...
