Pros: Easy of use and soft menu setup
Cons: None
The Bottom Line: A great surfing and email alternative to expensive WiFi
Review: While not the new N platform, and not a 108mbps router, the NetGear WGR614 provides excellent connection speed for email, and surfing for the value. I have my wireless router connected next to my desktop, and through a primary netgear router in the ...

Pros: Easy instructions
Helpful Support
Works as expected (for me)
Freedom
Cons: Takes some time for installation
The Bottom Line: I would highly recommend this software. It does what it says and it's installation is average.
Review: I purchased the NetGear-G in January, 2008. I purchased this at Amazon, they have an offer that if you open their charge, you get $30 off. This only cost me $10. I did do some of my research in local stores. I was told that the difference between ...

Pros: Easy automatic network setup.
Cons: None (yet). I've only had it a couple of hours.
Review: Just now hooked it up. Installation was a breeze. I exactly followed the directions and presto: Eazy peazy- networking and internet access! Much easier and quicker to install than the recently dead 2 year old Belkin router this one ...

Pros: Encryption
Advanced networking features
Cost
Ease of setup
Cons: Nothing, unless you do not follow the installation directions on the CD-ROM.
Review: I purchased this wireless router when buying a new laptop. The installation was cake (if you follow the directions!) and the downstream performance is excellent for downloads with my Cable Internet modem. This router comes with advanced security options ...

Pros: Small footprint, handsome case.
Cons: Requires serious Guru if you lose the CD.
The Bottom Line: I recommend this to anyone who needs a secure, simple, wireless access point.
Review: I am totally satisfied with the "touchless" use of this wireless router. It works great with both my home network, and the DSL modem/router that I use to connect to my local ISP. Specifications The specs for this router are pretty standard ...

Pros: When it works it is fine.
Cons: It doesn't always work.
The Bottom Line: If it worked it would be fine - but the intermittent nature of its operation just makes it too frustrating to keep.
Review: WGR614 v6 I have two laptops, a desktop and a wireless video camera networked using this. I bought this because it came free with a PC and, since I was using an 802.11b router before, this seemed like an upgrade. Sometimes it works perfectly. ...

Pros: When it worked, it was very good; easy to set up and easy to configure.
Cons: Netgear's so-called "tech support" is worse than a joke.
The Bottom Line: If you can get it cheap, and it's not mission-critical, it might be OK. Otherwise, avoid.
Review: I bought one of these on the strength of good results from an earlier Netgear purchase. It was a mistake. After 9 months in service, the router suddenly stopped connecting to the modem. I spent nearly two hours on the phone with Netgear's tech ...
