A Great Digital Camera With a Huge Problem

by   hwz1 ,  Nov 4, 2002
Pros: Ease of use, four megapixels, price, size, options
Cons: Battery could be better, 16MB flash card
The Bottom Line: A great camera for the money, but stil has a few drawbacks. I would buy it again without hesitation.
Review: After spending the past three years with an Olympus digital camera that ate batteries like Rosanne eats Twinkies, I felt that it was time for a change. The prices of the better cameras had come down to reasonable levels and these reasonable levels...

Pros: Easy to hold, beautiful pictures, simple setup and documentation, durable
Cons: Indoor photos can wash out, no sound with video (read on), pointless 16MB card

Review: I decided to buy the CoolPix 4300 for myself as a birthday gift after reading many of the reviews on this site. The Nikon appeared to have all the features I wanted, and a great price. This review focuses on my view of the camera, rather than a ...

A very good, easy-to-use camera.

by   erick7302 ,  Jan 1, 2004
Pros: Superb image quality, lots of manual power, simple to use.
Cons: Battery usage, lens cap issues, no sound with video.
The Bottom Line: Overall, this is a quality camera, and I'm glad I got it. It offers plenty of manual options, but it also makes a great point-and-shoot because it's simple to use.
Review: I guess I should get all the dirt out of the way first. Like every product out there, this one has some flaws. First of all, it has no built-in lens protection. You are forced to use the lens cap, which is somewhat of a pain. If you forget to remove it, ...
