Gameboy Advance SP: - Now With a Brighter Screen! (Nintendo Write-Off) |
|||
|
Pros: Ultra Sleek Design, Backlight, Rechargeable Battery
Cons: I Just Bought My GBA Like 2 Years Ago.
The Bottom Line: Give In and Pick Yourself up a Gameboy Advance SP If You Haven't Already Done So.
Review: Nintendo is probably the best known console manufacturer this world has ever know, the company's hardware legacy began before the video game industry really hit the mainstream. There has always been one thing that Nintendo has always been the master of; ...

Nintendo Finally Escapes The Dark Ages |
|||
|
Pros: Finally, the screen is lit up
Cons: Nintendo is, oh, 10 or so years late on this 'innovation'
The Bottom Line: I hate you Nintendo. I love you Nintendo. Damn you, Nintendo. Damn you.
Review: For the past 14 years, Nintendos Game Boy has been the absolute dominant leader in handheld gaming (some would say a monopoly, but nobody at Nintendo looks like the Monopoly guy anymore). Despite being technically inferior to most of the...

Game Boy Advance SP - My Partner in Crime Until the Nintendo DS Comes Out

|
Pros: rich game collection, backlight screen, rechargeable battery, sleek design, clamshell design
Cons: the re-designed shoulder buttons, no headphone jack
The Bottom Line: The Game Boy Advance is a top of the line portable gaming system. The game selection and amazing new features make it worth the cash.
Review: Ever since I can remember, Nintendo has always dominated the portable games market. NeoGeo tried, Sega put up a good fight, yet Nintendos Game Boy always came away as the winner. I never played the original Game Boy and only got a little playing ...

Great improvements in the Game Boy Advance SP

|
Pros: Compact design, built-in light and flip up screen
Cons: None that I can see so far.
The Bottom Line: Great improvements make the Game Boy Advance SP a must-have handheld.
Review: My kids had been bugging for a Game Boy Advance ever since it came out. We rented it from Blockbuster a few times to see what it was like and the kids loved it, but we didn't really have the money, so they were still stuck with their Game Boy...

The Game boy you can actually see! |
|||
|
Pros: New light feature, save money on batteries, thousands of games.
Cons: Other then a few changes, it's not too different from the previous GBA.
The Bottom Line: It's fairly cheap for such a great little piece of gaming technology.
Review: GAME BOY ADVANCE SP (2003-????) Nintendo's original 32-bit Gameboy Advance (GBA) was a fine upgrade to the popular 8-bit Gameboy Color but as good as the portable system was the GBA was far from perfect. Although it had tons of great ...

Pros: More classic titles than you can shake a stick at; rechargeable battery; durable construction
Cons: Nintendo killed Atari -- hard for a classic gamer to get past that fact
The Bottom Line: Shove those old portables in the closet. The Game Boy Advance SP will do everything a classic gamer wants, and then some.
Review: If you're looking for a review about the technical specifications of the famed Nintendo Game Boy Advance SP, you're not going to find it here. That subject has been covered time and time again, and I'll not dwell on it too much. If you're looking at such ...

Pros: Lots and lots of games available
Cons: No headphone jack, still pretty expensive
The Bottom Line: If you dig portable gaming, the GBA SP is the way to go.
Review: Now that I have written well over a dozen GBA game reviews, I suppose it's about time I review the player itself. Since the release of the new Gameboy DS, I am hoping that the price of the GameBoy Advance player and games will drop some more. You can ...

Pros: Backlit, rechargable battery, secure unit.
Cons: Shoulder buttons, no headphone jack.
The Bottom Line: If you love video games, and sometimes are away from a TV and a console, give it a shot.
Review: Quick Facts: Game Boy Advance SP Hand Held Video Game system, manufactured by Nintendo in 2003. 2.9 inch screen size, backwards compatible with all GBA and GB games. Rechargable lithium ion battery, system priced about $90 at the time of this ...

Pros: Long lasting battery, mutable speaker, small size, durable.
Cons: Games aren't as complex or good looking as Playstation Portable.
The Bottom Line: Younger gamers (10 and younger) are just right for this system. It's a fun way to play!
Review: When I recently purchased a Game Boy Advance SP console I was mentally prepared for disappointment. I thought this small, portable game system was bound to be flimsy and cheap. The long history of Game Boy systems made me think this would be ...

Pros: tons of game, back lit screen on the new ones
Cons: small L and R buttons, keeping track of the adapter.
The Bottom Line: GBA SP
Review: I got my GBA SP a year ago when I saw it on sale and since I had been having trouble with my GBA seeing how I broke a piece in the back where the batteries are held using my Pelican recharger. It only worked with the rechargeable batteries and even ...
