Wonderful Depedability

by   MaximaGirrrl ,  Oct 6, 2000
Pros: Dependability, Long-Lasting Good Looks
Cons: Oil Filter A Pain
Review: These are great cars! I have had two Maximas and a Honda. Needless to say I went back to Nissan. The first one I had was an '84, and when I sold it two years ago to a family friend, it had 256,000mi. on it, and she still drives it! That's almost 300k...

My 88' Maxima

by   filmbrat ,  Mar 17, 2000
Pros: Dependability!
Cons: foreign parts are a little expensive
Review: I'm big on the longevity and dependency of cars. I bought my 88' Maxima in March of 1997. Today the car is 12 years old, and still runs great. I have only had to do minor work since I bought it (brakes, alternator, and the starter). The engine is...

A great first car

by   trailblazer33 ,  Apr 29, 2002
Pros: Classic look, comfortable, reliable
Cons: Everything that comes with age.
The Bottom Line: Find one, take care of it, and love it
Review: This was my first car I owned from 1999 to 2000. It was in good condition for it's age. Everything that goes bad after a decade and 165,000 miles had to obviously be replaced. The paint on the roof was JUST starting the fade. The seats were SO...

The most reliable car

by   keisha0 ,  Dec 17, 1999
Pros: everything
Cons: none
Review: I must admit that a Nissan Maxima is the only car I would ever need. It has everything, drives forever, incredibly spacious for a compact car and a wonderful family vehicle. I must admit I'm not one who has a lot of money, but the car I bought is an 88...

Good car for all

by   maximitus ,  Dec 24, 2002
Pros: Comfortable ride, good reliability. Power everything is great.
Cons: It isn't a brand new BMW.
The Bottom Line: It's a great car for anyone needing a great value.
Review: I'm 16 years old and am the driver of a nice 1988 Maxima. I guess I got the "Maximitus Gene," as I really love this car. It may not be the newest by any means, and it may not be the fastest, but it holds it own.

To get a sense of what this car...

Maxima

by   theveed ,  May 28, 2002
Pros: Great features, roomy interior
Cons: Sluggish engine and tranny, some reliability
The Bottom Line: Verdict: Good, solid car with a lot of amenities. Not recommended for spirited driving, though.
Review: Again, another Manila review...

My parents bought this car brand new, dark maroon, manual, 2.0, full power.

Like I mentioned with my Corolla review, Manila is a great place to test cars, especially with suspension, cooling system,...

What did I do to deserve this?

by   rangeredge69 ,  Mar 15, 2002
Pros: This car is good IF it has low mileage.
Cons: Ehhh... too many to list, see review for specifics.
The Bottom Line: If you simply must buy one, make sure it has low mileage and was maintained under the service schedule, otherwise walk away.
Review: Ok, this review will be different from the other ones shown on this site for this car. Most people like this car; me on the other hand, do not. This car has given me frequent problems and continues to do so. Let's start shall we? On my car, it takes...
