Lil' red 300ZX, baby you're much too fast!

by   shoplmart , top reviewer in Cars & Motorsports at Epinions.com ,  Dec 3, 2001
Pros: Beautiful style, Power up the proverbial 'ying yang', Luxurious.
Cons: Curb weight a little on the heavy side, Price.
The Bottom Line: I recommend this car 100%, but in 1992 a 2 seater came out that is faster due to its lighter weight.
Review: Driving Impressions: Acceleration form a full stop is excellent! Compared to cars like the Mustang GT and Camaro Z28 TPI, the 300ZX was more of a refined demeanor about its off-the-line acceleration. Mated with the 5-speed, this car ...

Nissan's blunder... doing away with sports cars

by   vachipep ,  May 29, 2000
Pros: handling, engine, reliability, big time fun factor
Cons: Back seat suitable only for small children, Not for slippery road conditions
Review: Nissan was the first to bring reliable, affordable sportscars to the U.S. But, about two years ago, Nissan pulled the curtain on the 240SX and the 300ZX. Now they have no two door (with the exception of their pick-up) in their lineup.

I have...

300zx: girl, you really got me baby!

by   theaviator ,  Dec 30, 2004
Pros: Fast, getting rare, beautiful, Twin turbo model is unbeatable
Cons: No traction control, not for inexperienced drivers, many cars have age related issues
The Bottom Line: Better looking and more "tunable" than the 350Z, similair to the recent corvettes
Review: You really got me...remember that nissan 300zx commercial from the early 90's with barbie and ken? Well I always wanted a 300zx twin turbo and finally got one. I just sold my Eclipse GSX with 200k miles (even though everything still worked well, I have ...

11 years old and still great

by   HHord2 ,  Jul 4, 2000
Pros: Chassis
Cons: None
Review: I bought my 300ZX in Set. 1989 and am still pleased with it's handling every time I get into it. It's got 88,000 miles and has only had a few minor problems. In 1990 it was rated to have the best chassis on the road--it still handles as nice as...

Vroom, vroom

by   szech ,  Jul 1, 2001
Pros: This car rocks!
Cons: Expensive
The Bottom Line: If you can afford it, this car will be collectors item. Highly recommend
Review: The Nissan 300zx is a awsome piece of engineering! I bought one with only 70000kms on it and it ran like a new car. For a 10 year old car they hold their resale value very high especially in my area since they are very rare.

Simply put the...

A true classic..sporty and reliable

by   nico0324 ,  Oct 13, 1999
Pros: Reliability, Handling, Classic Lines
Cons: Small Back Seats
Review: I own a 1990 Nissan 300ZX 2+2, it was only number 324 off the production line (I still have the window sticker framed in my garage), and came equiped with T-Tops, 5Spd Manual, A/C, Premium Sound, Alloy Wheels and Security System. After over five years on...

1990 300ZX

by   LMul410166 ,  Jan 7, 2000
Pros: Fast, fun, great styling
Cons: High insurance costs, expensive to repair
Review: I bought this vehicle for my wife when it was 5 years old. It had 29,000 miles at the time. We experienced no trouble until 60,000 miles when, shockingly, the transmission failed. $3500.00 later we are still not sure it won't go out again in the near...

It's a dilemma!

by   kathysamsmith ,  Aug 23, 2005
Pros: Fun to drive; awesome to simply admire.
Cons: Too many Z-seeking shopping carts and erratic drivers out there, threatening this perfect car.
Review: My own 300ZX, a 20,000-mile cream puff (yep, white pearl glow) spends most of her time tucked safely in the garage. This is the best car I've ever owned, yet I'm reluctant to take her out on the road where she truly belongs. When I do, heads turn. Logic ...

I'll have it till it dies, and that won't be soon.

by   coconutt ,  Jun 28, 2006
Pros: Looks, Handling, Acceleration, Comfortable interior.
Cons: Storage space, heavy, Difficult to work on.
Review: I always had my eye on these cars, and when that unlucky soccer mom ran the stop sign to kill my Volvo, I got my chance to try one out. It was difficult to find one in good shape, but after a month of looking I grabbed my Red Non-Turbo 2 Seater for ...

Whoosh!! I love boost!

by   twinturbo ,  Dec 12, 2000
Pros: fast, sexy, good handling, NICE interior, lots of power doohickeys to play with.
Cons: Some expensive parts, some difficult maintenance aspects, expensive tires, not the best gas mileage.
Review: I recently purchased a 1984 Nissan 300ZX Turbo. What can I say, I have a soft spot for Nissans (ever since my Datsun 510 wagon threw a rod I've really missed having a project car), and I LOVE turbocharging or anything to do with forced induction, so I...
