Nissan Xterra - Here is what you need to know if you want one.

by   CyndiA ,  Nov 27, 2002
Pros: It looks great and is a solid truck based SUV.
Cons: It's built for taller folks and is a stretch for most females.
The Bottom Line: If you really need a SUV, then give this one a look. I don't think you can beat it for the price and style.
Review: I bought a 2002 Nissan Xterra, and I am just thrilled. After 8 years in a Toyota Corolla that I bought used and which I was very thankful for and loved for many sensible reasons (like gas mileage and 4 doors and a good A/C), it’s nice to have...

Reasons to Buy an Xterra

by   shemashey ,  Jan 2, 2002
Pros: Fast, handles nicely, fabulous sound system, stadium seating, everything is a pro...
Cons: Not so good gas mileage, have to remove gear basket to use sunroof
The Bottom Line: Affordable, attractive, fast and fun, this car is mostly for the under-30 crowd, especially people who are active outdoors. Possibly the greatest SUV in the world.
Review: When I first went to test-drive an Xterra, I had pretty low expectations. I knew that this SUV had been built on the structure of the Nissan Frontier (with body styling influences from Land Rover) and I knew that trucks are not typically the most...

Love the Xterra

by   jennigump11 ,  Feb 27, 2002
Pros: Very comfortable, great features, reliable and so neat to drive!
Cons: None so far
The Bottom Line: If you are looking at SUV's the Xterra is a must see! There is so much to offer, and anyone looks great in the driver's seat.
Review: Numer one, Xterra is affordable, unlike some of it's competitiors. When I sat inside the Xterra while I was in the dealership, I fell in love. I sank in the seats and became soothed by the new leather smell. Looking behind myself in the driver's seat, I...

Hello- It's a Truck

by   blucollarheart ,  Apr 25, 2003
Pros: Great looks. Comfortable. Great pick-up.
Cons: Fuel economy, numerous recalls
The Bottom Line: From the exterior look, to the ride, to the stadium seating, this is the greatest truck on the road.
Review: In order to give a product a fair review, I think you have to take into consideration what you are reviewing. A reviewer who compares a truck to a car is not going to review the product fairly. I hate to see comments like "too truck-like," "Bad ride,"...

What a great new SUV!

by   magusall ,  Jan 27, 2002
Pros: Interior room, Stereo, Off-Road, Looks. Sporty and handles great.
Cons: Gas mileage...and thats about it.
The Bottom Line: If you have the money to buy a Jeep Liberty or a Ford Escape, buy an X-Terra. Youll be happy you didnt buy the others.
Review: It was about three weeks after I totalled my 1993 Honda del Sol Si that I actually started to look for a new car. I had my money saved up and wanted something new and hot, like my old car was when I first got it. I decided on an SUV because my likes...

BOY DO I LOVE MY NEW Xterra!!!!

by   lbaker05 ,  Feb 5, 2003
Pros: Stadium seating, cool looking, awsome feel, rides smooth
Cons: the seats feel cheep
The Bottom Line: The Xterra is the bomb. If your a sporty person, who enjoys the outdoors, and you want something fresh and new. Get the Xterra
Review: One of the best looking SUV's on the road. I really fell in love with the look of the vehicle before I ever got behind the wheel. I suggest adding the push bar or the whole safari package, it really gives the Xterra a more rugged look. Regardless of the...

Great car at an even greater price

by   warwicksail ,  Mar 18, 2003
Pros: Great quality, rugged look, great off-road
Cons: Without the supercharger, the engine lacks a little power
The Bottom Line: With all the features included and quality, you can't get a better SUV for the price.
Review: I have had my Xterra for about a year now and still enjoy every minute of driving it. I think it is one of the coolest looking cars on the road. The reliability is outstanding and the price is very reasonable. However I am going to start out by saying...

Best SUV for ME

by   bigbillyt ,  Jul 26, 2002
Pros: Awesome handling in tight spaces, very little road noise and great price.
Cons: Could get a little better gas mileage and interior construction could be a little sturdier.
The Bottom Line: It is a perfect SUV for those who want something stylish but extremely useful. A very practical vehicle that looks good too.
Review: I have had several trucks and suvs and this has been by far the best. I am not sure why others have reported issues with acceleration. I don't even have the supercharger and I never have any problems pulling out into traffic, getting up to speed or...

Supercharged xterra on x-teroids

by   mountainbronco ,  Jun 21, 2002
Pros: POWER, handling, 4-wheelin', aesthetics
Cons: injection molding "dimple" visible on dashboard
The Bottom Line: Buy one if you can. At least test drive one! (if you can find one) You won't be dissatisfied!
Review: Bang for the buck.... I bought this baby for $25,025 from Jaremko Nissan in Spokane, WA back in early January. (what's it worth now in June with 5500 miles on it? 32k? 33k? LMAO! I am completely satisfied. This is the most (fun to drive)...

Pros: V6,4X4 Great in snow, Rugged exterior, Looks SWEET!, Very Durable!

The Bottom Line: PERFECT!!!! GET 1!!!! you wont regret it!
Review: I own A 2002 Xterra XE 3.3L automatic 4X4. It is truly the best and most durable car I've ever owned. Bought it as a leftover in August, 2002. Previously I had a 96 GMC Suburban. Needed something better on gas, and it was starting to fall apart. When I ...
