Excellent do-it-all ride

by   cruz3 ,  Apr 23, 2005
Pros: Power, truck running gear, controls, interior, looks.
Cons: Some engine roar. A little body roll. 3rd seat access.
The Bottom Line: Awesome for any occasion. Full size running gear means full-size durability and fuel economy.
Review: We dropped our beloved 2003WRX for the Pathfinder LE. My wife drives it daily and I take it on ski weekends. Ours has everything except for the DVD navigation system. The big selling points were the looks, interior, truck chassis, and Titan running ...

Awesome vehicle inside, outside and under the hood

by   epdjr ,  Mar 21, 2006
Pros: Great Styling Fast and powerfull excellent on and offroad Lots of room for cargo
Cons: gas mileage (to be expected) slightly cramped backseat cumbersome temperature controls radio not loud enough
The Bottom Line: Overall definite buy. This vehicle has everything. Plenty of cargo room, 7 passenger seating, great horsepower and towing capacity and beautiful styling. It's a perfect blend of class and attitude.
Review: Styling First I want to talk about the new styling of the Pathfinder seeing as how that's what initially catches everyones eye when looking at vehicles. I personally love the new styling. To me it's a bit of Acura MDX meets Hummer H3. The grill and ...

Awesome 4x4. Best value 7 seater in Australia.

by   sezook ,  May 24, 2006
Pros: Looks, stability, torque, smooth economical Diesel, space, versatile seating, well equiped, Bose stereo.
Cons: Average road tyres, visibility over bonnet, No space in engine bay for 2nd battery,
The Bottom Line: Great value 7 seater 4x4. Very capable offroad, good towing, lots of torque, smooth powerful and economical diesel, love/hate styling, lots of space and versatile seating. Love it.
Review: I bought a black Australian 2005 2.5L Turbo Diesel Pathfinder in December 2005 and so far I'm very impressed. I've owned 4x4's for 15 years including a highly modified, go-anywhere! Suzuki Sierra (Samurai) LWB with 33" tyres and then a 1993 Mitsubishi ...

Best SUV Value Out There

by   pamandscott ,  Sep 28, 2006
Pros: Safety, Performance, Reliability, Utility, Comfort, Styling.
Cons: Second and third row seating foot space is cramped.
Review: We did a lot of research for months before deciding to buy our new 2005 Nissan Pathfinder. The only other SUVs that came close were the Volvo XC90 (too expensive for a problematic vehicle), the Honda Pilot (lacks that rugged SUV thing we wanted), and ...

Excellent upgrade from previous Pathfinder or Xterra

by   flith ,  Dec 26, 2004
Pros: Off road performance Four wheel drive Decent fuel economy considering size and weight of vehicle
Cons: Leg room on second row and third row Skid plates not standard on all models
Review: The 2005 Pathfinder is an excellent combination of off road and on road capability. I traded in my Xterra for the Pathfinder a month ago. I was looking for a car that was a capable as the Xterra, but offered more room for a larger family. I have taken ...

Pathfinder LE Owner for 1 YR 6 Mos

by   billjacobus1 ,  Sep 29, 2006
Pros: Horsepower, handling, braking, Bose stereo
Cons: gas mileage, climate control is complicated, some warranty issues, all resolved
The Bottom Line: Great vehicle, solidly built, sporty, lots of horsepower, high profile for great visibility, very good braking, Great sound system
Review: I've been happy with my 2005 Pathfinder LE for 1 year and 6 months now. Some people complain about the gas mileage, but that is the trade-off for horsepower, the Pathfinder can really accelerate. The 4.0 liter V-6 is rated at 270 horsepower. The fuel ...

Love at first sight and what Nissan learned from the Xterra

by   packdragon ,  Nov 3, 2004
Pros: Third row seats fold down flat, lots of thoughtful features
Cons: Poor fuel economy
The Bottom Line: When you need reliability along with the choice of hauling lots of people or lots of cargo, the new 2005 Pathfinder is an awesome choice.
Review: We started getting flyers for the newly restyled 2005 Nissan Pathfinder and was immediately captivated. After years of looking pretty much the same, the Pathfinder has gone through a much-needed makeover. When we got a mailer from a dealer advertising ...

2005 Pathfinder - overall smart choice; good value

by   alexaks ,  Aug 24, 2006
Pros: Acceleration, Navigation Logic, Styling, Suspension
Cons: Rear seat access/room, Navigation controls, Handling on bumpy roads, Annoying occasional rattles
The Bottom Line: Despite minor annoyances, I would recommend Pathfinder as a very well thought of SUV that is a good value for the money.
Review: In December 2005 we have purchased one of the first new body style Pathfinders. Twenty two thousand miles later I would cautiously recommend this SUV, but I would do it with a few words of warning. Here is the list of the main things I like/dislike ...

Much changed. Worth a look?

by   mkaresh , top reviewer in Cars & Motorsports at Epinions.com ,  Jan 12, 2005
Pros: Front seats, steering better than the class average, checks off all the boxes
Cons: Nothing much to get excited about, rear seats short on room
The Bottom Line: Worth a look. No major advantages (except the front seats), but no major disadvantages, either.
Review: During the first ten months of 2004, for every Pathfinder Nissan sold Toyota sold four 4Runners and Ford sold a dozen Explorers. In pursuit of a bigger slice of the profit-rich midsize conventional SUV pie, the Pathfinder has been thoroughly redesigned ...
