Pros: Up to four hours recording time, excellent microphone, clean design
Cons: No USB connection for file transfer, cheesy clip
The Bottom Line: If you're looking for something simple, look no further. Great for interviews and personal use.
Review: If you're reading this, you probably have some need for a digital voice recorder. I got the Olympus so that I could cover a trade show without having to scribble in a notebook (if you saw my handwriting, you'd know why), and to use for some interviews ...

Pros: unit size, ease of recording, sound quality, recording organization
Cons: can't save recordings, HQ=2hrs, awkward ff/rewind thru long recordings, LCD screen not backlit
The Bottom Line: Excellent little unit for making short recordings that aren't vital to save forever, otherwise, invest in a pc-compatible recorder.
Review: I didn't know what I needed in a digital recorder before I bought this one. I previously only used a mini-cassette for interviews, either live, or over my cordless speaker phone (which must've 'clashed' with the mini-cassette as it made a buzzing sound ...

Pros: Small compact and unobtrusive. Works the way it is supposed to.
Cons: The on button is very sensitive and may start recording.
The Bottom Line: I would recommend it if you need a compact recorder that is reasonably priced.
Review: I bought the Olympus VN-240 Handheld Digital Voice recorder my senior year in college when I knew I was going to be missing some biochemistry classes when I went on medical school interviews. I bought it because I wanted something that was cheap (I paid ...

Pros: Weight, Cost, Size, Quality
Cons: No USB, Hard to use
Review: This is an acceptable voice recorder, but needs to have a USB connector, a larger memory, and an easier delete process. Otherwise, it's light and small and provides a decent quality, so it's perfectly fine for me (at ...

Pros: Good voice quality
Cons: no USB connection and small memory
Review: I bought one recently and I'm satisfied with the quality of the voice when I record in SP mode (2 hours maximum). The Lp quality is not good. The horrible thing is that you can't connect it to the computer to save the recordings!! I was really surprised ...
