Model TVD2710 - Great 27" TV

by   pegryan ,  Apr 4, 2007
Pros: Great value for the money. Picture as good/better than other $300+ tv's.
Cons: None for the price.
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this budget tv because of the picture quality and price.
Review: General information: I purchased the Orion TVD2710 model at Wal-mart and added a 2 yr. warranty for only $17.88 more. However, in the product manual it states that the manufacturers warranty is carry-in only, so in checking the terms of the extended ...

Great TV

by   mazoid ,  Mar 20, 2007
Pros: great picture, great price, good quality, lasts long
Cons: None right now
Review: I bought this TV about 3 1/2 years ago. It still works great. It even withstood 3 moves and it got banged a few times in one of the moves. Picture is still nice and clear. The only problem that I have encountered is that the down button for the channels ...

ORION 27" TV ~No Latest Hoopla But Still a Great Value!~

by   kirsib ,  Mar 18, 2007
Pros: Affordable standard TV with good picture and decent sound.
Cons: Over 80 lb, big clumsy box, problems with remote.
The Bottom Line: If you want a 27" TV but are living in a budget this will work for you!
Review: OKAY IT IS HEAVY AND BULKY! We could not fit the box on the car so TV had to come out to juggle this baby home. It weighs over 80 lb so if I'd have extra $500 I would not buy it. This is Walmart buy and price cannot be beat! Ours was $180 ...

by   volted-com ,  Dec 18, 2004
Pros: Easy to use lots of input options dropped.. still works!
Cons: box was too big to fit in cadillac. had to remove tv from box!!!
The Bottom Line: get it - similar products are thousands of dollars.
Review: I bought this 27" orion tv from walmart last year. my other tv turned itself off for no reason. it was time for a new one. i bought it two weeks before christmas for $177. i see its the same price this year. Got it home, up three flights of stairs and ...

Budget Priced, but Great Value

by   MtnGrandma ,  Feb 22, 2004
Pros: Good clear picture and sound.
Cons: The universal remote did not work completely with our Directv.
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this product for anyone looking for an inexpensive but good quality television. It is easy to operate and provides good value for the price.
Review: Its been a few years since we've had to buy a new television, so it came as quite a shock to walk into the electronics department and come face to face with all the new gadgets and gizmos of todays sets. We're on a pretty strict budget, so that ...

Orion Delivers Great Value!

by   bostonlover ,  Jan 24, 2004
Pros: Hard to be beat for 27", picture is excellent! Set-up breezy.
Cons: A pro for me, but TV set is offered in standard black, not trendier silver
The Bottom Line: Unfair to compare this unit to that of a $2,000 TV, the Orion provides crisp picture, easy set-up and excellent value for the price--regardless of industry trends.
Review: Though far from knowledgeable where electronics are concerned, I am fluent in the language of cheapo TVs. With names like Apex and Symphonic, these sets are usually priced under 150 bucks and make no apologies for their most basic of features. ...

Pros: great picture, great sound, great looks
Cons: the black coloring of the tv base is just a bit dull
Review: This television is a great buy...I put it in our master bedroom and it just completed our bedroom...I feel like someone off of MTV's Cribs...it has a great picture and color and the sound is outstanding...I definitely recommend. ...

Excellent budget TV

by   luclin999 ,  Jul 20, 2003
Pros: Very nice picture for the price.
Cons: Speakers are a bit weak.
The Bottom Line: If you need a new set and are on a budget you could do FAR worse than this set from Orion.
Review: A few months back I turned on the Zenith TV in my study and noticed that the colors seemed a bit "of ...
