Pros: Lots of Memory, web access, great organizational tool
Cons: Short battery life, lightweight antenna
The Bottom Line: I cannot believe that I didn't buy one sooner. The Palm VIIx has organized my life!!!!
Review: Until last month, I carried my Franklin Planner everywhere. In seven years, I went to work without it, and used it to try to create some sort of order in my life. However, after I went to work for an Internet company 8 months ago, I started to feel a...

Pros: Tons of options, memory galore, never miss an appointment, games, web surfing
Cons: Pricey, cannot re- charge the batteries
Review: Yes, that is right. A single guy could overdose on the options that present themselves at the Mustang Ranch and you could do the same with the options that present themselves with the new Palm. So, your looking to upgrade your Palm to the new VIIx?...

Pros: Almost Limitless Wireless Web Clipping
Cons: High Monthly Unlimited Usage Service Fee
Review: Relatively simple improvements to the Palm VII have spawned the Palm VIIx and made it a more viable option. Increasing the memory from 2MB to 8MB gives much greater flexibility to customize this to your needs and wants.
While this makes an... |

Pros: A few steps up in the right direction; More features
Cons: Addiction to Palm.net wireless
The Bottom Line: Access the Internet and your e-mail accounts anywhere and any time you want to. You can do all of this while carrying less load around.
Review: He sits close to his boss's office. He is constantly checking his stocks right under the old man's nose. Yet, on the company's computer, all access to the Internet and outside web sites has been stripped. Only the computer center allows access to the...

Pros: wireless access, runs the huge number of programs written for the Palmos.
Cons: signal strength is not consistant
The Bottom Line: Wireless access in major transportation hubs (i.e. airports)is very valuable. If you travel you need a VIIx or better yet.... 705.
Review: The wireless access is great with the advent of the 705. Wireless service coverage is getting better and better. The unlimited access price is more reasonable. Moving data on and off the VIIx is easy with the sync and wireless modes.

Pros: Small, portable, pretty fast connections
Cons: A little heavy, modem sucks the batteries dry
Review: The Palm VIIx has to be the coolest gadget ever made. Now I know that eventually that will seem like a really stupid statement, but with all things technological, time changes everything. But for now, it's the best thing going.
I know a lot of... |

Pros: Dirt cheap, wireless internet
Cons: slow connection, pricey monthly fees
The Bottom Line: Not perfect but at this price, it doesn't have to be.
Review: I was an early user of PDA type machines but gave up on them after my last bad experience with a Philips Velo (which was very expensive, bulky and full of bugs). I liked the basic idea of a PDA but found them to be more hassle than benefit and far too...

Pros: Wireless e-mail and web clipping, ability to sync with PC, alarms for upcoming appointments.
Cons: Need to buy a separate Mac connection kit. Desktop Mac program is very weak.
The Bottom Line: Wireless e-mail makes this far more useful than any other Palm model I use it all the time and feel lost without it.
Review: Confession: I would never have bought myself a Palm VIIx. Didn't think I needed a wireless Palm. Got it as a gift. Now I don't know how I lived without it.
The main function I love is the ability to check my e-mail, both home and work, from... |
