Pros: Expansion Capabilities, Palm 4.0 OS, New Apps.
Cons: No Color, Not Compatible With Other Cradles or Handspring Attachments
The Bottom Line: Basically the same unit as the new Palm m505 but with a monochrome screen. Which model you buy will depend on how attached you are to a color screen.
Review: Think Palm Vx revitalized and ready to meet the future and you have the Palm m500. Ive spent a week with the m500 obtained from retail sources in advance of the release scheduled for later in the month. Virtually everything contained in my m505 review...

Pros: Plastic screen; included cover; SD slot; lightweight; responsive; long battery life
Cons: plastic backplate; Universal connector;
The Bottom Line: Overall, despite the negative aspects of this product, I like the palm m500, as it offers good features at a good price with a little surprises.
Review: First Impressions
Upon purchasing my m500 from Amazon.com, I was skeptical as to how much use I would get from it. After It arrived and I had already let it sit for 2 hours charging in the cradle, I was sure that I made a good decision.... |

Still a Great Palm Choice!

Pros: Small/thin, low power screen, 8mb RAM, SD card, Universal Connector, nice accessories.
Cons: 16mb of RAM would be nicer, but that's about it!
The Bottom Line: I would recommend the M500 for anyone. People just need to get over the need to carry around a "multimedia" device instead of a simple yet powerful organizer.
Review: I realize that I am a bit late in the game, but I purchased a M500 for a specific reason that I will explain later. This is a great Palm device! Despite what a lot of folks think, a color Palm or PocketPC is not always the way to go. Some of the ...

Pros: Easy to use, easy to Sync, travels easily.
Cons: Hard to see screen in sunlight.
The Bottom Line: This is a great tool for anyone who has a busy life and needs some help getting organized!
Review: I just love this PDA and use it daily. We purchased one for my husband to use 6 months ago and he finds it essential in running our business. I thought that this kind of PDA would be a bit more than I needed as a housewife but after playing around with...

Pros: Price, 8MB memory, sharp screen, battery life, expandable, bonus software, fun!
Cons: I wish the screen was just a tad bigger.
The Bottom Line: Lots of functionality for the price. If you don't care about color, this is the Palm to get.
Review: The Palm m500 is the first Palm device I've ever owned, and I must say I'm very impressed. I chose the m500 for its expandability, 8 MB of memory, long battery life, and overall good reviews. I wasn't interested in a color model, as I knew I wouldn't be...

Pros: Full of user friendly features, thin and small
Cons: vibrating alarm is a little weak
The Bottom Line: If you want to organize your life and maximize your time on the go, then go out and buy this product
Review: I am a first time PDA owner, and I was overwhelmed by the amount of models and options out there. I settled on the Palm m500 after extensive research. I have been blown away so far, and I often wonder how I managed to keep my life together without one....

Finally, an update to the venerable Palm V series. (SD/MMC update) |
|||
|
Pros: Expansion Slot, Similar Palm V/Vx design, Li-Poly battery, New OS
Cons: Universal Connector, cost of Smart Digital/MultiMedia Cards currently.
The Bottom Line: Overall a good unit but may not be for everyone. Other options in Palms exist, with better pricing. This is definitely a unit for high end users!
Review: I know many people have been waiting for some time now for a new Palm handheld... not the redesigned m100s and m105s, which are the old palms in new cases and sizes but Palms with something extra. In March 2001, Palm announced the m500 and m505 series...

Pros: Slim, sleek, metal design. SD/MMC expansion slot, LED and vibrating alarm
Cons: Limited expansion devices, lack of backward compatibility with Palm accessories
The Bottom Line: The m500 is a solid unit aimed at the high end users with its SD/MMC expansion slot.
Review: Many people have been waiting for some time now for a new Palm handheld, a response to the competition posed by Handspring's Visor line and Sony's Clie. The m100s and m105s were nice, but they are the old palms in new cases and sizes and with a new...

Pros: Better display, rechargeable battery
Cons: EXPENSIVE (and its accessories, too!)
The Bottom Line: If you have the cash to burn (or your company buys it), it's a great little machine you'll be happy with!
Review: Just what do you need a Palm Pilot for anyway?
Thats not the point, is it? Its just fun! I must admit that was a driving factor in my desire for a Palm. The main reason, however, was to be able to read texts when I have a chunk... |

Pros: 8MB Memory and Palm 4 Software make this a best buy.
Cons: Memory Cards can be expensive.
The Bottom Line: If you want a device that does everything you want INCLUDING going on the internet, and doesn't include a lot of Image software, the Palm m500 may be for you.
Review: The Palm m500, a black and white version of the m505, is a PDA that can impress anyone. Believe me, whip this thing out in stores and you can hear the sound of people's heads turning in your direction.
Mine came with a leather flap that covers the... |
