Pros: Well Written, solid allegory, Stands alone well as a story on its own merits
Cons: Some may find the spiritual elements overbearing.
The Bottom Line: This book begs to be read twice. Once for the literary experience and then again to delve into the allegorical meanings.

Pros: Highly entertaining; deep; thought provoking.
Cons: Not for the shallow reader.

Pros: An interesting plot
Cons: Too long to develop; tedious.
Review: Science fiction, allegory, and retelling of the Fall of Man from Genesis, 3rd Chapter wrapped in one, Perelandra aims high, but falls short as the esteemed author gets caught up in the theology he is presenting and the narrative descends into tedium.
