Prokofiev Lite

Pros: Chuck Jones animation

Cons: Music de-emphasized in favor of irrelevant live actors

The Bottom Line: While the video makes an attempt to bring classical music to children, Prokofiev's music receives short shrift. Take the kids to the symphony instead.

Review: Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf was one of my favorite orchestral pieces. With the idea of introducing the piece to my 2-year old, I picked up this 1996 BMG Entertainment video for $5.00 second hand. I probably paid a little too much.
